Quote from: Elijah Love on January 30, 2007, 10:21:11 pm I'm currently writing a book that, when finished, I plan to donate 100% of my profits to various humanitarian organizations around the world specifically RED and UNHCR because I am an active member in those two organizations. I wrote my first book when I was 13 and it was about a girl who is the daughter of a Jew struggling through World War Two. I started a book after that and it was a sort of a fantasy time story and it's got everything. In it, there are vampires, faeries (the evil ones), dragons and the whole bit. I wrote a series of short stories after that about this team of investigators who's specialty is cold cases and that ones set in 1920's London. My most recent project was "My Africa" and that's the charity book. I'm really hoping to finish it in time for my 17'th birthday.

First of all I had to quote this so I could see it. With it being in such a faint color I couldn't read it so I had to quote it to read it.
Second I wish you luck in your writing and it all sounds good.

What I always do is take a few hours or days off and go crazy. Really, it works. Just do anything you've always wanted to do like skydiving and inspiration will just come. Or, you could try coffee, that works too. ;D

Just sit back and take some time from what you are writing. It may be anything from a few seconds to a few days but something will come to you.
When I was writing my book and I got into a block situation I would ask my kids what they thought I should put. Maybe you can ask someone you can trust and ask for their idea of what to write next. It worked for me. When my kids gave me advice of what to do next I would put my 2 cents in and the words would just roll out of my fingers nonstop. At least until the next time I got into a block situation.

No books (don't have the patience nor the creativity, mostly not the patience ). But there is a screenplay I plan to begin soon, based on some wuvly ladies here. I also write poetry, but that's something I do for me, and shan't be published.

I have this writer's forum I created and it only has six members, 2 being myself. I was hoping that maybe some of you could sign up and do some posts and help me get it going. I only have a few right now and I really want to keep this going, so please help!

I've been working on a fantasy story in earnest (meaning I have an ending in mind) for a few months now. It's about a university student's relationship with a mermaid...the first chapter of it is up on my Wyvern's account (somewhere in my profile there's a link)

Elijah Jordan Wood (Characteristics) - too mindbogglingly, devastatingly gorgeous to be plain human. Possibly one of the few recorded cases of a male succubus, thus to be treated with extreme caution....mind the eyes!

I'm trying to get a good first 'book' toether, and how do I do that? I figured if I based it on true things it would be easier. For example the leads are based on myself and one of my best friends growing up so it will have that truth to it, but it's also got huge artistic license with it also.

Wow, so many writers here! I truly admire those who get their projects ready and published - and sold, too. I really wish good luck and a lot of inspiration for all of you and your works.
I have been working on my book for five years now. It's a theory book. I have no academic degree so the project is very difficult for me. And I'm a perfectionist which doesn't help the situation at all. I have written about 400 pages of messy notes. Some chapters I would like to consider as done and ready but when I read them afterwards, they sound so naive! 400 pages is way too much text to handle and now i've got a huge problem how to squeeze it all together and make it a book that would be interesting, logical, with all the right theories, no mistakes and no stupidities in it... HUH!

I´ve been writing now for about 3 years on a fantasy story and was inspired by LOTR. The years before I always wrote non-fictional books but it´s cool to write whatever you want!!! And it´s something different!
