Quote from: Carina on October 18, 2006, 11:42:49 am I still think about this book a lot, and more so recently; one of these days I want to read it again.
| Just wondering, did you read it again?
I've noticed that you read a lot, so I wouldn't be surprised

Quote from: Marit {DA} on November 21, 2006, 08:13:25 am Sorry I havenīt answered before but Iīve just read your post. The answer is no... I havenīt read it again because Iīve been reading other books... at this moment Iīm reading "Solaris"; it is a science fiction book in which the movie was based on.
And you are right, I love reading...

I have read it several times. Jostein Gaarder is norwegian, like me, and his son actually went to the same school as me.
They did make a film of it, did you know that? It is norwegian, and they made it about 6-7 years ago, so it's nothing like it would be if it was made in Hollywood, I guess. But I liked it anyway.
I love philosophy.

I actually had to read "Sophie's World" for my sophmore year in my perspectives class. I really enjoyed it and I thought it made learning the basics of each philosophy clear. I remember learning about Plato in freshman year and I went home with a headache, I just didn't get it. After reading the book Plato's ideals were more clear as well as Marx and Freud.
Sorry if I got a little excited there.
