Does anyone else like Nicholas Sparks books? I loved every one I read, although most of them were sad. Has anyone read the latest one, The Guardian. Is it good? I haven't read it yet.

You should! There all very sweet. I think Message in a Bottle was my favorite, but Nights in Rodanthe and The Notebook were close seconds.

Quote from: Chanterella Halea on October 01, 2003, 04:00:18 pm I watched a bit of the Message in a Bottle's movie and I think that the story is really romantic. I like romances very much (that's why I also love Joanne Harris) Have you ever read any of her books? You should if you like romance. They're really good My mum own's The Guardian and I honestly think I'm going to try it.
| I haven't read Joanne Harris. What has she written? Tell me how the Guardian is.

| I'd say Message in a Bottle-it was very good. The Rescue was good too, just not as romantic.

I too have only read A Walk to Remember, and it was only after seeing the movie. The books was sweet, yet sad, but I actually liked the movie a little better.. But Sparks is a good writer. I may try something else of his sometime, but we'll see.

Joanne Harris wrote "Chocolate", "Coastliners","Five quarters of orange"... and those are the only ones I've read. I can't really tell you much about The Guardian (since I haven't read it yet) but the cover shows a women, a beach and a dog I think.
