This update is Dirk-centric and the first episode of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency aired last night on BBC America. It was brilliant! It's wildly rich and every character is compelling. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

:: A new project coming to the public brings lots of appearances from Elijah. We have pics and screencaps from the premiere screening in Los Angeles, a sit down chat with AOL, and other talk shows as well.

:: And there's more talk shows on the horizon. Elijah will be on Late Night with Seth Meyers tomorrow and Conan O'Brien October 26th.

:: There's a short video from the premiere, the entire AOL chat, Live with Kelly, Jim & Sam Show, SiriusXM Radio, a hilarious match between Stephen Colbert and Elijah, the interview with Stephen and showing his Fantastic Fest tattoos, another wonderful podcast for The Nerdist and an Elijah and Tiger Woods match up.

:: Let's not leave out the print articles from The Chicago Tribune which has a couple of stunning photos, Salon, UpRoxx, have fun reading through the Reddit AMA chat, a great preview to whet the appetite for Dirk, co-star Hannah Marks talks about working with Elijah, and a fun degree of separation chart.

Another fantastic Fantastic Fest has come and gone and it was more fun than last time. Tons of films, lots of filmmakers and plenty of movie fans around to enjoy it with. I got to speak briefly with Elijah again and that's always a pleasure. You can check out some photos taken at the festival here, and keep an eye out for the ones taken from an outstanding performance by the band Itchy-O.

:: SpectreVision and Cinefamily announced their film lineup for this year's SpectreFest which began yesterday.

:: The beautiful soundtrack on LP from Over the Garden Wall is now out which contains a booklet, sheet music and lyrics.

:: Are you ready? Dirk Gently begins in two weeks! Here's a quick synopsis of the first three episodes. Even better, have a look at the moment when Dirk and Todd meet for the first time.

:: If you're on Twitter, you may know that musician Flying Lotus has been trying to get Elijah to appear in his new film Kuso. As you remember, Elijah appeared in his music video Tiny Tortures. Elijah has acknowledged his tweets, so who knows?!
