After all the news from the last few updates, it's kind of nice to settle down a bit. But there's still things to talk about, like Elijah's appearance at the Supernova Comic Con that happens this weekend and next in Australia. He'll be there for photo-ops and signings.
:: Come to Daddy is screening at the Sydney Film Festival this weekend with the first showing being sold out. Director Ant Timpson expressed on Twitter that there will not be a trailer for this well received movie. He's relying on the wonderful reviews and posters to bring in the audiences.
:: Elijah and Ant gave an interview about the movie with Letterboxd. Here, you will also see more festivals the film will be at.
:: While scouring the internet, I came across production notes for Come to Daddy that really dives into the making of the movie.
:: If you have not yet listened to the Visitations podcast, do yourself a favor and do so. It's one of the best I've heard and the discussions are quite revealing. Elijah and Daniel chatting with creative people on their home turf reveals more than expected. You can read why this podcast stands out from others and here are some photos with their guests, Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) and Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night).
:: Over the Garden Wall will become another graphic novel, this one named, The Benevolent Sisters of Charity that sounds amazing. While the series was great, and the novels a treat, they really need to make a full-length animated feature, don't you think?
That's all... for now.

Since Elijah reached his 30th anniversary, there has been two events to cover, so basically it's business as usual. First up was Phoenix Fan Fusion, and there are plenty of photos from the two day convention.
:: Elijah treated the crowd to a Q&A at the convention. Sadly, I haven't tracked down the hour long conversation, but there is a 9-1/2 minute video. Because we can't get to hear what Elijah discussed in its entirely yet, there's an enjoyable article written about it.
:: Here's one young lady's entertaining personal account of the convention that involves a very special signature.
:: Next up was The Overlook Film Festival this past weekend. Not too many photos have come about, but there are a few. Check them out. There's also some short videos. [Come to Daddy 1] [Come to Daddy 2] [The Faculty 1] [The Faculty 2]
:: The Overlook was not only to screen Come to Daddy, Daniel Isn't Real and The Faculty, Elijah and Daniel Noah were there to speak about their new podcast Visitations.
:: The podcast premiered this past Friday with their first guest, Taika Waititi, and it was a pleasure to listen to. Just a group of people shooting the breeze. Very casual, very entertaining. Have a listen for yourself on either IndieWire or Apple Podcasts.
:: Backtracking to a previous convention, there's a video from Conque's Q&A that's not entirely overdubbed so you can hear Elijah's responses. And check out this video from his visit to Bernal.
:: No sooner than Elijah finishes, more appearances are on the horizon. Later this month, he'll be heading to Australia for the Supernova Comic Con in Sydney on June 21-23 and Perth, June 29-30. Then it's off to visit Montreal Comic Con on July 6th.
:: No word yet if Elijah will be in attendance, but Come to Daddy has more festival screenings at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, July 11th-August 1st, and the Melborne Film Festival, August 1st-18th. Looks like it's going to be a very busy summer!
:: Lastly, could there be a Dirk Gently animated series? Before you get too excited, it's still in the very early stages. Arvind Ethan David, executive producer of the TV series stated on Twitter, "Most of the real life cast has expressed something between intrigue and excitement about the prospect of being animated." He even has the character development in the works. Clap your hands if you believe!
That's all... for now.
