There are certain milestones that one should take note of. A college graduation, getting married, a big promotion at work or perhaps after 30 years in Hollywood, you've accomplished the status as a respected actor without self-imploding or becoming a dismal statistic.

This May marks Elijah's 30th year in the industry. At least that's the date I'm giving it. It was May of 1989 when Paula Abdul's song Forever Your Girl reached number 1 on the music charts. By that time millions of people had seen the accompanying music video with a supporting cast of children, one in particular, a young boy who breaks a pencil in half. Who knew where that simple act of destruction would lead?

Always and Forever has been online for over half of those 30 years, so I think it's fitting that we congratulate Elijah on this milestone and invite fans to join in. If you would like to wish Elijah Happy Anniversary in your own personal way, send in your cyber high-fives. It could be a prose of congratulations, poems, artworks or videos. Anything written should not exceed 1,500 words and make sure your work is appropriate and respectful, just like Elijah.

Email your work to deenan@ejwsites.net or af_elwood@yahoo.com with the subject line, Anniversary. If it's a video, please upload it to the site of your choice and email the link. If it can be embedded, even better! All submissions must be received before midnight, May 1, 2019. No exceptions. Depending on the number of submissions, on May 20th, any work sent in will be posted to a special section on Always and Forever as a permanent fixture. Happy creating!

That's all... for now.

Looks like SpectreVision has another gem of a movie on their roster. Daniel Isn't Real had its world premiere at SXSW last weekend and the reviews are quite enthusiastic from Variety, Birth.Movies.Death, The Austin Chronicle and Nerdist.

:: Released just days prior to the beginning of the festival, the poster for the film won the prize for Excellence in Poster Design.

:: Not many photos or videos have sprung from SXSW, but there are a few. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] And a bit of fun video here.

:: New stills were released from one of Elijah's new films, Come to Daddy. [1] [2] [3] It will have its premiere screening at the Tribeca Film Festival happening in April in New York City. Be sure to read the more detailed plot description on Tribeca's site.

:: Another on set photo from his other new film production, L.A. Rush. The actress, Chase Victoria, explains on Instagram, "Elijah Wood is in a new movie called LA Rush coming this winter. He plays a rich guy and I play his private jet stewardess. Super nice guy and solid actor. Such an amazing experience working with him."

:: The Conque Mexican Comic Convention has scheduled Elijah to appear there for the first time in May. (page translation by Google)

:: I've been meaning to post this for a while, but in time to show an extended trailer for the upcoming film, Tolkien. Looks rather captivating.

:: Lastly, I stumbled on this strange little ad. An ad about a dog named Wilfred. Yes, it's real and other than doing more episodes, what else would it be about?

That's all... for now.
