I really have no idea what kind of colouring you're going for, but the best I can do is this.
It's a low quality and dark cap, making it really hard to work with I can see why you're getting frustrated.



It's similar to the colouring I've used on this screencap.

You have to have a LiveJournal and join the community to view some of the posts, but most of them are open for non-members too.
Or I look around for fan sites or screen cap galleries.

They have a few of the TV show here
And then there are some okay quality caps of the movie here
The second one also has caps for a lot of other movies, and some TV shows.
