Maybe you could give a big shout-out and get a quote/statement from former members about what the site once meant to them. For me it was my introduction to the Elijah fandom although I lurked for at least a yr before getting up the nerve to join. It also led to my introduction to LJ.

It was my first time as a "fan" posting too. I "met" the ladies I currently chat with on LJ. Don't think I would have started "bloging" without you lovely ladies! 
This is why I am a tad sentimental about seeing this thread go.
