Cool, a new 'old' thead! Hi everyone. I'm feeling guilty about how little time I spend here I think that will change now that my RL has calmed down a bit. I'm enjoying my new house. I miss my old house like crazy, but it was also a burden in many ways. I can stand a little less drama in my life
The site is looking great! Deenan and Cristiel are doing a fabulous job.

Deenan - I assume Nuke meant the news page when she specified you and Cristiel. But, I do appreciate all the work all the mods are doing on the forum too. I think the changes have been really good ones.
Maybe not the new thread every 100 pages, if that's too much work for all of you, but the reorganization of threads is looking really good.
We had a really lovely day, so we all rode bikes to a park (about 30 minutes each way) and the kids played a bit. Very nice. I also got some other stuff done like mowing the lawn (ugh! hubby hasn't done it since he broke his leg and I dread it!!! ), vacuuming and folding and putting away clean towels. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too, but we have a lot of errands to run, so it will be busy.

Yes the forum is easier to follow and things look neat--I can see that the 100 pp rule for the fast moving threads might be tough to keep up with. I was surprised to see any postings here at all as I hadn't been notified but I realized I'd forgotten to check off the notifation box in this new thread & in a couple of others.
Nuke: glad to hear things are settling in you new home. No way though you can be completely unpacked yet, right? Did you have to leave a lot of things in storage?
Celebrian: you guys (you and hubby) have to be in shape to ride bikes 30 minutes each way; I think children are naturally fit from playing all day anyway but its different for adults. I learned the hard way that you can't just jump on a bike if you're not used to it. There is a recreational area (man-made lake) about 1/2 mi from my house that I usually walk to and around it (1.4 mi) and back home which is slightly uphill. I rode my bike that same distance, but went around the lake twice and then was too tired to make it back home. I ended up leaving the bike by the side of the road and walking home & leaving hubby to retrieve the bike. I was surprised because I thought I was in better shape than that.
Hope everyone has a good week.

We were in the middle of page 2!
Romeny - Well, it's pretty flat here and the 30 minutes included stops for street crossings and such with the kids. And, not at high speeds, so not as far as you might think. Sorry you had trouble with that hill, but we have very few hills around here.
This is a busy week with school and activities starting up again and hubby at a conference until Friday night. But, so far we're hanging in there. Despite temps of 96 today. Tomorrow is supposed to be much cooler thank goodness.

Now don't get excited you guys but I am kinda here.I saw part of an elijah movie tonight and thought about you guys.i also work part time(as a sub) in an elementary school and everyday at work I see this little first grader who is the splitting image of elijah.his hair is a different color and he doesn't have the blue eyes but he has everything else.Except though he has this cute little mole on his cheek.
Both my kids are in school now but only the youngest is in school part time so i can only take the 2 hr noon duty at the school.it's hard work for little pay.it's so hard no one wants to stay at this school for very long doing it.i have gotten used to the kids and they know me now.I hate to leave but I am just a sub.
anyways,i hope you guys are doing good.I just haven't gotten around to checking out anything Elijah has been up to recently.Oh i do have a funny story about him though. One day the kids were watching some kid's program and they ran down and said "mommy, elijah is dancing on tv!" and i didn't believe them.So they changed the channel and sure enough there he was dancing and singing on some kids program but I can't remember the name of it.it has some freaky robot things on it and they teach kids how to brush their teeth and eat good foods and stuff.
gotta go,it's already after 1 am and I have one more day of work at the school until the weekend.Hubby has been out of town all week but he comes back tomorrow.Things were going so great, damn!
see ya!
