'You Overdid It Doll' by the Courteeners.  Loving their new album about a million times more than their first.

'Starry Eyed' by Ellie Goulding.  I'm not sure I actually love the song, but I love her voice.

'My Propeller' by the Arctic Monkeys.  I did like their third album, but...well, it's maybe not as catchy as their first two, but this song is possibly my favourite one of theirs EVER.

'Bigmouth Strikes Again' by The Smiths - I've been trying to get into them because my dad loves them, and I finally borrowed an album and this is my favourite song off it so far.

Lol, I was really bored so I thought I'd have look back through this thread, and it's really wierd seeing again what music I was listening to this time last year and the year before that...and I really use the word 'Love!' on it's own a lot! I'm not sure my musical tastes have progressed any since way back in 2008, though - I still rotate Noah and the Whale and Kaiser Chiefs in my playlists. ;P

Listening to 'Shoplifters of the World Unite' by the Smiths.  Funny - when I played it for the first time yesterday I just knew I'd heard it before, away back when I was little - it sounded instantly familiar.

Isn't it funny that when you try and get into an artist's work properly, the motivation for it comes from the most unlikely places?  I mean, my Dad is a huge Smiths fan, but it's not because he likes them that I decided to listen to them, it was because of the film '(500) Days of Summer', which I loved, and which had 2 Smiths songs on the soundtrack.  Ditto with The Jam - they were featured in Billy Elliot, which is one of my favourite-ever films, and Gem on here recommended 'A Town Called Malice' for me years ago, but I only really started liking them after I went through my 'Mock The Week' phase last summer, and realised that they did the theme tune for it.

OK, public ponderings over.

'True Romance' by Golden Silvers.  The first time I ever heard this song, it was summer, and I was doing an art project, and now whenever I hear it it always reminds me of that.

'Cash Machine' by Hard Fi.  Recently got a hold of the album 'Stars of CCTV' (yes, I know it's really old, but I've just somehow never got round to getting it before) and this is the song I've been listening to most off it.
