Hey there!  Just thought I'd bump this thread back to page 1.  I've been MIA for a while too.  I remember the days when this place was hopping!

I hope everyone is having a good summer.  My house had Harry Potter fever as well.  My daughter read it about 14 hours.

I just finished it last Thursday.  Awesome book!!  I feel a bit down knowing that there won't be anymore books, though..

Ciao for now bellas!!

I'm posting from wk right now;  it finally rained here which is great since we almost had drought conditions.

Hi Joanie, unfortunately this place hasn't been hopping for quite a while.

My boys have been planning to take my husband and myself out for our 30th anniversary in the next couple of weeks, they're waiting until they can coordinate their wk schedules and before my "baby" goes back to school for his sophomore yr.

I got a lot of housework done this weekend which for me is difficult as I tend to find other things to do (that I actually like) instead.  I'm worse than a child when it comes to this and develop a bad case of ADD (attention deficit disorder).

Hope everyone else has a good day and week.

Great Ms. Sixty...sounds like a wonderful trip, have you been there before, are you traveling with your family, friends and for how long?  Where do you live BTW?

Hi everyone. I've been gone for quite a while. We had a lovely trip to the beach last week, but now it's back to real life. School starts in one week, and I'm back to work starting on Monday. Woohoo!

It's been so quiet here, and at LJ. I know some folks are gone right now. I hope everybody gets back home safe and sound.

I think it was about a year ago that some of us were able to get together in Iowa. That was a great weekend!

H a l l o o o w.anyone out there?  (Lonely voice echoing)

Just woke up this Saturday and immediately turned off the AC and opened the doors and windows.  Earlier in the week we reached a high of 102 (without the heat index) and the temp outside right now is 68 Degrees,  Whoo Hoo.

My husbands club is sponsoring a trip to Atlantic City that leaves at 12 noon today and wed already purchased our tickets months ago; this was before my return from my anniversary Las Vegas trip in which I burned out on gambling meaning I am completely tired of it.  (at least for now)  so Im going to do something Ive never done before in AC and that is to visit the new outlet mall and to actually take the time to have a leisurely sit down dinner in a nice restaurant.  The boardwalk itself is a nice place to stroll and is about 3 miles of so from end to end so Ill be doing that at well.

Hi Kathleen and anybody else who might be around.

Saving us from Page 2.

I've finally managed to post on my LJ about my trip and there's not much else new.

I've been playing LOTR Trivial Pursuit with my husband and son every night this week.  I beat them both soundly tonight  (when I won neither had more than two wedges).   That's been fun.

Celebrian, don't you think you may have an unfair advantage in playing that game with your family?

Chowling - Actually, for the first time, my son just won LOTR Trivial Pursuit.  We modified the rules so the adults had to choose a category to answer a question instead of rolling again on "roll again" spaces, but other than that he did great!   I was the only one missing a wedge tonight.  I guess I was having an off night.

admit it, you let him win so that he would play with you again!    otherwise no one else would play with you in your community.  you would have to move out of state.

You know, I wish I could say that I let him win.  I was ahead at one point, but I made a couple of mistakes and had some bad luck with the die rolls and ended up losing.  I am glad that he won, though.  He was getting frustrated that we always won (mostly me, but hubby won once or twice).  It makes sense because we've seen the movies more often (he's only seen each once), we've watched all the extras and he hasn't and we've read the books more times (he's been through them once with hubby reading them aloud to him).  But, that doesn't mean he's happy about it.

As for the community, I've only played with one other family here and we had teams and were pretty lenient with answers being "close enough."

Gosh, seems so recently that Part 2 of this thread was created and now we're up to Part 3.  We're locking all threads in the forum that have over 100 pages and creating a new thread.  It helps the server speed if threads are shorter.

So once again, this thread will be locked and continued as "The 'Old" Elijah Fans Thread - Part 3."
