14 Year Old Snowboarder Going For The Olympic Metal

So here in Holland there is this boy, Dimi, and he's only 14 years old. He competes in all kinds of snowboardingtournaments and his last tournament was in Canada. He finished third and he qualified himself for the Olympic Games in 2010!!
I saw an interview with him, saying the winners were 24 and 22 years old and I think it's amazing he represents our country.

Thanks for the link - wow, he's good, he deserves to win something! And he's so young! Did you hear about the 14 year old English boy who went to Beijing on the diving team? I think his name was Tom Daly or something like that. Anyway, he didn't win, but at least he was able to come back again and again for a long time yet!
On the other hand, do you think a lot of pressure is being put on Dimi to do well? I imagine there must be. I wonder if he has pushy parents?

Yeah, I remember that English boy!! He was amazing!!
Yeah, that was pretty much my point: Do people put too much pressure on these kids?
I don't know, he seemed very pleased to me and he said in that interview that he wasn't nervous and that he saw it all as a big competition. It didn't look like his parents pushed him.

That's good to know. I expect he enjoys it - I think i'd enjoy anything if I could do it as well as he did!

Well I would... I can't stand losing, so even if I won alot, I would still be competitive and such.
