I used to collect perfume bottles and interesting glassware, but eventually one tends to run out of room to put them all. Let's see, I collect shells from different beaches mostly, LOTR art and calendars, old Life Magazines (from the 40's and 30's), old photos from the 1800's that are called daguerreotypes and ambrotypes. My favorite photos are of Civil War Soldiers. That's so cool that you have FAMILY photos from that far back! That's awesome.  I've been collecting old photos for a LONG time ( 29 years) and it's getting harder and harder to find ambrotypes. These are emulsion on glass that actually show the NEGATIVE of the mage, when you back it with black fabric and put it in a frame it goes like a positive photo. These are rare because a lot of people broke the glass or thought they were deguarreotypes and washed the emulsion off the glass!
