We were just cozy with having the family get together for the holidays. What with our kids now in college, it's nice to have them home for the holidays.
We did get to NYC and see Radio City Music Hall then went to Kennebunck Maine to visit grandparents and relatives there. But we stayed home for Christmas and had my side of the family come visit for 2 days.
It was nice and a great change of pace......... SLOW

YAY!!! I get a holiday this year!!!

I have a friend in Australia. I've known her roughly 10 years now. But we've only met 3 times so far. Twice I've visted her, and once she's visited me.

She rang me up this morning, and told me she'd booked a flight to come to England at the beginning of September! Such a shock! Apparently my parents knew she was planning it, and she kept it secret from me. I was so surprised! lol

So yeah, she's visiting for 3 weeks, and we're going to tour England, as well as going to a few places around Europe.
A lot of planning to be done... but I'm sooo excited now!

Wow...sounds like fun Tafika!

I am sticking close to my home port this summer. My family is having a reunion and we are all going camping in Yellowstone National Park. It is pretty simple an inexpensive, but this way the nieces, nephews and everyone can come. It should be fun! We are in the process of firming up the campground reservations (ya have to do them early as it is a popular location with its Old Faithful, bubbly springs and lots of wildlife. Can't wait!

Just back from Norway, had a great time - a day skiing, a day walking, and a day travelling either side.  Brilliant.

I really want to go camping. Family camping holiday like we used to do when I was little. Can't though as my Grandad isn't well enough and my brother has entered the 'real' world
Trewen Hall as a kid was wicked. I hate getting old. lol

I'm back! It was kind of fun - like a week long sleepover, lol! But then there were classes from 10am til 12.30, and again from 2.30 til 6.  Bit of a rubbish way to spend a week of Easter, if you ask me.

By the way, tafika, your trip sounds amazing!  Paris is so beautiful.

Tafika sounds like you and your friend are going to have a blast!

Mary, glad you had a good time...even if studies were involved.

We have firmed up our reunion plans and will be spending a week in Yellowstone National in July. Most of us live in state, but one brother and his wife leave across country and will be driving 3,000 miles to join us. They will be staying for a month! Wahoo!
