ROLF! Oh my gosh...that is SOOOO true, Aisling! Right now once a week is good enough for me. However, I would like to ease into twice a week...eventually.

Heh, I've still got to force my lazy butt to start once a week, or less vigorously several times a week. I don't know why I'm so un-motivated.

Totally understand that one. Motivation is something I struggle with. Ya know what is so weird? When I actually workout faithfully...I feel so much better. Wouldn't you think that would be enough to keep me going?
I some how contracted a summer cold...hack hack. My lungs are pretty painful from all the coughing. Something tells me I won't be doing the ZUMBA this Monday. Ugh!
My free month at Crossroads is almost over. So I will be purchasing my ZUMBA DVD workout set (from basic moves to advanced). Once it comes then it will be a challenge to set up a little rountine...but it must be done...no matter what.
Whoops...gotta dash! I will be back sometime Sunday or Monday

Late-season allergies for me. Whatever I'm most allergic to comes out this time of year, and whatever it is, the local honey doesn't help. Must be something other than pollen. Regardless, Zyrtec time.

I tried local honey too! It didn't work for me either. Don't you just wonder what is in the air now that wasn't the first few months of spring? It boogles the mind. Even with my "cold" I am still not certain it isn't something in the air now. Just can't figure out what it could be....
Zrytec is pretty good...and you can get it over the counter now. I also like Clariton. However, I would MUCH prefer not needing any medication. Sigh.

Local honey works for me in the spring, but whatever I'm reacting to now may not be pollen. And Zyrtec works better for me than Claritin.
But I agree; I'd rather not need meds at all.

My my my...this thread has gotten REAAALLLY quiet! Something tells me everyone is busy, busy, busy with RL. Goodness knows my schedule is getting a little too full for comfort.
The fitness club right across the street from work merged with another one in July and closed the location. The new location is too far away to go for lunch break. So I let my membership lapse and then promptly forgot to create a new schedule for myself.
Basically everything else took priority over my workout. Needless-to-say I ended up going backwards for months. We are kicking off a wellness program at work in November and I decided that I better get back on track before any more time slipped away.
Starting Monday...I will be getting up @ 6:15 am and hopping on my elliptical for 30-45 minutes. Then three days a week I will do 30 minutes of core strengthening when I get home in the evening. This should allow me to get my exercise in, get to work on time and still have time in the evenings to get some of my chores done. So finally I am off and running again. I can't believe I am saying this...but I have really missed my afternoon workouts. However, this schedule should work out great.
Anyone else still battling the establishment of an exercise routine?

Good Grief what happened to this topic?!?
No ones been here for months so I guess everyone's OK with their weight right?
Culpie are you still doing the exercises; I just talked myself out of going walking but I'll be getting on my elliptical later today, gotta prepare for the holidays.

I know what you mean, Romeny! I thought I was the only one still working on it.
Yes I am back on the stick. My club merged and closed down so I am on my own. I started using my elliptical each day and am trying to do strength training 3 days a week. Kinda miss my weights routine...but this should work out pretty good.
All eyes are one the rapidly approaching holiday. I plan to increase my workout time to help burn the calories from the goodies. Eek...wish me luck.

Thanks, Liz! It is a never ending battle for me because I do have a sweet tooth. However, good habits take at least three months to build....so I will just have to patiently and steadly work at it.
The weight will come off....I just have to keep focused.

You guys should all check out this page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/77367764@N00/with/1457574885/
It shows pictures of various people, listing their height, weight and BMI. I found it very interesting.
It makes me feel a little better - there are some absolute hotties even in the "overweight" and "obese" categories. I think all the guys and girls look beautiful regardless of body type, which it gives me more confidence in my own body.
In other news, I've kind of let my healthy eating slip a bit in the last few weeks but I did 6 hours overtime this week and as a result I have lost 2kgs! Yay! I should do overtime more often...

How interesting, Coz! THanks for sharing the link. Wow...I was really surprised at who was considered overweight, obese and morbidly obsese.
We just had a health screening blood draw two weeks ago and they did our BMI, weight and height. I am in the obsese zone - needing to lose 50lbs. I totally understand getting off the healthy eating band wagon....it happened to me too.
Congratulations on the weightloss! You are lucky the overtime helps you lose weight! I have been so busy that I got off my exercise routine with bad results. But I guess that is just an excuse.

So as it turns out, I have to start all over!!! I've been in a big rut lately.....feeling bad about not having a job, and no real social life. But I'm feeling more hopeful for next semester, I'm running for a Chair Position on the Executive Committee of the College Dems at my college, and will be living on campus next semester, so that's the social life repaired, at least during school since most of my friends from high school go to school out of state/town. But I digress.....
Guess I got to down on myself about not having a job and living back at home, I forgot about my goal to lose weight/feel better about myself. I am thinking about seeing a counselor just to get rid of bad feelings I might be keeping in, and I've played intense games of racquetball this week in order to get into shape, but I still have lots of work to do! I need to start counting calories (which I might do through Weight Watchers) and exercise more....I mostly need to work on toning my abs and arms....I feel fine about my legs, but that's probably because I used to walk about 2 miles everyday for 4-5 years.
I think I have a pretty realistic goal.....I want to lose at least 30lbs by my 21st birthday....which is July 2009....I just need to stay fit and focused....and optimistic.
Coz--I am jealous that working overtime helps you lose weight....whenever I worked extra hours, I gained more!
