I got a henna tattoo in Dubai only lasts 10 days, dont like idea of real tattoos or piercings myself.

TATTOOOOOS!
I have a few, my first is a sun at the top of my right arm, it is a bit naff, I got it done when I was 16 and thought I knew better then i got the kanji symbol for pure on my left forearm.
Now I know that a tattoo can be a work of art, and you should have it designed specifically for you and think seriously about it, I have had three others. I am not at all concerned about the whole 'what about when you are old and it looks crap) debatebecause by the time I am old enough to not like my body I am not going to care, nor will they often be on show. I don't see it is an excuse to not do things I really want and really think about now. They are part of me, and I love them,
First I had the 'brand of the sacrifice' symbol from anima/manga Berserk tattood on my hip, my husband and I both have the symbol (his is bigger and on his arm) and it is something we both love.
My most recent are these, one done by erik at tribe 3 and the dragon backpeice done by one of the best tattoo artists I have ever seen work (she has a year long waiting list as a result) Marag from Tribe 3, whom I most certainly did and do trust with such a huge peice.
Tolkien fans may recognise this (it was just done and washed off with hot water so my leg looks vey red and angry in this pic)
and this is my japanese backpeice. Only 5 hours in so the outline and some basic shading has been done so far

I used to have my tongue peirced, I lost a bet and had to get it done (the bet was that my friend would cry when he got his done...he didn't) but I removed it after 3 years as it was not doing my teeth any favours, I kept rubbing it across them and chewing on it. I am not really into peircings myself
