Thats not really what a tattoo is. I don't think they cause any damage, i have many and they never did me any harm. My other half has tattoo covering his arms. Nearly all my friends have them. Its not skin damage when you lokk at some ones tattoo does it looked damaged or scarred?? It scabs up to begin with as with any cut but then it just goes back to your normal skin, just different colour. All is does is change your skin pigment
Tattoo From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A tattoo is a permanent marking made by inserting ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons.
The most common method of tattooing in modern times is the electric tattoo machine, which inserts ink into the skin via a group of needles that are soldered onto a bar, which is attached to an oscillating unit. The unit rapidly and repeatedly drives the needles in and out of the skin, usually 80 to 150 times a second. This modern procedure is ordinarily sanitary. The needles are single-use needles that come packaged individually. The tattoo artist must wash not only his or her hands, but they must also wash the area that will be tattooed. Gloves must be worn at all times and the wound must be wiped frequently with a wet disposable towel of some kind.

I have two tat's. They both have a meaning, and mean alot to me. My first one I got was in Hawaii, it's of three turtles, with the number 11 07, for November 2007, when my dad brought me and 2 of my friends there for my 18th b-day. It was where I was born and I've alway's wanted to go back. All three of us (my friends and I) have the same tat in the same place, the turtles represent us.
My other one is by my ankel. It's of the Jasmine flower (aka the Pikake flower for those of you from HA). My mom loves all the jasmine stuff, the tea, the sent, the flower. There was a flower in our yard so she named me Jasmine. When she saw that I got is the day after I graduated from high school she started to cry she was so happy that I would do something like that....

My cousin got a tat and this Tuesday he's going to go back to the shop to retouch and finish it off and to get a new tat. He asked me to come along and I will
Because I've got my 18th birthday coming up, he's asked me if I want one too. I have always wanted one, so I was like hell yeah! And my mom said: Yeah sounds great, you should do that! So now I don't have anything standing in the way, I get nervous. I'm not sure if I really want it
I want it, but I'm not sure if I will love it so much in a couple of years. I would like a very little one in my neck, so if my hair is down you can't see it. I don't want it to be out and about, I want to be able to hide it, because I know tats and piercings can get in the way if you want a job later.
So I'm still thinking whether I want it or not haha

That's actually very mature, Pam. I've wanted a tattoo since I was 13 years old, I'm now 20 and still don't have one. I'm giving myself a year, and if I still want the same design in the same location this time next year then I will probably get it done.

Well we went to that tattooshop today, to retouch my cousins tat and I saw a lovely one... It's a little crown on top of the letter P, so that's so totally me!! But I don't know whether it will be in a couple of years.
Vix, what and where do you like one?

If all goes well this year, I think I might get a tattoo when I graduate from uni.
If I do graduate as planned/hoped, I would get 3 stars on my ankle I think. One filled, and 2 hollow. The filled one for the year I had to resit, and the 2 hollow for my good years.
It would only be small, but I wouldn't want anything big incase it goes wrong or I change my mind about it later.
I know someone who got a tattoo and it was drawn on wonky, I notice it every time I see it, which is a shame

I have that one on my shoulder....obviusly. my two friends and I got it while in Hawaii. The turtles are us. 11 07 is the date. It's to remind us of out friendship and the good times we had.

That one is on my ankel. I got it the day after HS graduation. It's the flower my mom named me after, the jasmine...I wanted Aladdin and Abu with it, but I'm glad I didn't get it. My mom cried when she saw that I did that for her.
