I would be so grateful if anyone could tell me what this particular feature (multi region) is called over here and where I can find one (if they're hard to find). It had a advertisement on the box, saying, "You got it, we play it" LOL and that's no joke. That thing plays every disc we got. I think most of the dvd players over here are region free, we bought one for only 49€ a few months ago. That sounds like the one I just read about on Amazon. One reviewer on the site said it would even read the daily newspaper if they tried to put it in the player. Thank you Cristiel, so do you think if it doesn't say anything in the description, it will play Region 1 DVDs for example? Or would it be better to go in a store and check there? The other one is some "white product" as we call it (no famous brand) and I was utterly surprised to see that it could play my "Bumblebee" DVD  I would check, Carina, just to make sure it can play both region 1 and 2. That way, you won't be disappointed when you get home and the thing refuses to play you precious DVD. So I can pretty much imagine what you are going through right now.
