Stupid Spam!

ARG! okay, i know we've all always gotten spam in our email boxes... but lately i've been getting tons! i cleared out my junk box about 3 hours ago... it had 21 spam emails... i just check it, it now has 18 spam emails! And it's stupid crap! like this:
±¹¹Î°Ç°ÁõÁøÀ» ¸ñÀûÀ¸·Î 21C ½ÅÀü¹®ÀÚ°ÝÁõ Àü°ÝµµÀÔ!!<¾à¿ë½Ä¹°°ü¸®»ç> liq

One, does anyone even know what that could be translated as? i know a while back i was getting some german spam  but that... i cannot figure out WHAT that it is. Two, does anyone know where it comes from? and/or anything to do to get rid of it besides changing your email? It's getting to the point to where if i leave for a week, i have 200+ spam letters when i get back.

I've just turned on the junk mail filter on my e-mail account, and I get next to no junk mail/spam.
It's great. I have a hotmail account, and my parents are on Blueyonder. Recently they've been getting more spam than I do.
I get about 1 spam email every few months.
Great stuff.

The spam filter in hotmail works great. All the spam mails I get are automatically directed to a special folder.
If you use outlook for your mails, you can set a rule that automatically deletes spam mail. The only negative thing is that you'll have to set the rule for each email address. But once that's done, it's working great as well.

The spam filter on Hotmail is really good, I have a Yahoo account too and I get so much spam on there, I think my bulk folder has 200 items in it and that's only a month's worth!

I have a hotmail and a yahoo account. Both get spam mail. I just learned to live with it *lol*

Just reenforcing what everyone else has said - Hotmail works great. Although I do have a Yahoo! account as well, and haven't had any problems with that whatsoever. *shrug* Call it luck? But yes, Hotmail is definitely a good way to go.

I have to get a new account on Hotmail. Due to lack of use, it has been erased. I like AOL service too, there is a part where you can put celebrity voices instead of listening the regular one. I have Welcome, You've got mail in Lij's voice and for the Good-bye one I have Enrique Iglesias' voice. The bad thing, AOL fills your mail with junk mail, better known as Spam.

Oh I think we all get those! lol. Yahoo! has a wonderful filter and all that gets thrown into the bulk folder. The trick is don't click on any of those unwanted things just to see what it is. I get lots of porny stuff lol, including the offers to largen my penis!

Actually for me, I haven't had any problem. I've got accounts on both AOL and Yahoo. For me, there's hardly any Spam on AOL. That and I don't get very much bulk on Yahoo. With AOL you can get Spam Control. That's personally been a life saver.

Strangly, the only perverted email i've ever gotten (in english) offered me to view a woman doing a horse... I got one email in german that i translated to "the wh*re who lived like a german" lol... twas odd. never clicked on it, though

Well, that's erm... interesting. I bet the majority of people who recieve those emails also dont click on them, so I don't see what the point is. -Shrug-

Yahoo is very good at blocking spam. Infact, I don't remember getting a single bit of spam since I registered an account! ...Well, only some Yahoo ad spams. Nothing foreign at all, let alone porn.
But what's absolutely ridiculous is the amount of pop-ups I get lately since I got DSL. Sometimes it stops me from even posting on a topic here by going back a page. Arrrgh  . Makes me very angry. It stops you sometimes from being able to type and read.
But then again, no real porn on that either, other than the occasional adult friends ads. Nothing that provocatave even.
