I always thought there might be an attack on London, but this completely shocked me. Did you see the bus that was blown up? It was torn to bits. I can't begin to imagine what it was like in the underground. A friend of mine was supposed to be on one of the trains but got an earlier one instead, thank God. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
It's all the worse if it was meant to coincide with the G8. Those people are trying to work to make the world better and all the terrorists can think about is disrupting that and killing people.

Quote from: PHF1138 on July 07, 2005, 12:55:52 pm To be honest, I don't quite understand the G8 thing. What does that have to do with the bombing? (I thought it was just a charity concert...)

G8 is where 8 of the worlds leaders are gathering in the UK to discuss poverty in Africa, and its just coincidental that it happens the same day they meet!
BTW Live 8 was the concerts!

I was having breakfast with my sister, then we turned the TV and we heard that London has suffered a terrorist attack. We were horrified, I'm still in shock. Those terrorists have no feelings about those innocent people. They're definitely mad and full of hate. First, New York, then in 2004 Spain and Russia, and now England. Are going to attack any country who supports US? My prayers and deepest condolences are with the UK, especially England. I hope all UK members of this forum are fine. A minute of silence for the victims, please.

It's so shocking, everyone knew to expect somthing like this but that doesn't make it any easier when it happens. Don't think I'll want to travel on London Underground for a while.
Hope everyone's ok and my thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones.

I feel so sorry for the people in London!!!All my best wishes and prayers go out to them. I always used the Edgware Road station when I was in London last year and it's kinda surreal to know that it is one of the stations that was hit.To be exactly I 've been to King's Cross as well and I drove through Liverpool Street. Really surreal to know the places...
Did you know that Dom(Monaghan),Billy(Boyd),Evangeline(Lilly)and Matthew(Fox)are in London right now. Dom,Evie and Matt are there to promote Lost and Dom said yesterday that he and Billy would meet in the evening-so he must be there, too.
But it was already said by their publicists that they are allright-Thank God!!!

37 dead, 700 injured. Wow.
Its so messed up. Innocent people have nothing to do with what their leaders choose, like going to war.
Did you guys see when they interviewed Blair and Bush? Blair was so shaken up, and all Bush said was "We are going to find whoever did this.." He's been saying that for years!
You can't go anywhere now. Its horrible. My uncle lives in downtown London. But he doesn't take the bus/subway, so he should be fine...have to call him though...

I'm getting tired of this! Why is it that there is so much concentration on Iraq? I think these world leaders should get together and get more aggressive on finding terrorist. This will never end if we don't. I agreed with what was posted earlier about President Bush. The problem is He's just not a very good speaker.

I want to see the day when our world can stop terrorism. I'm sorry I don't think I will live to see that day. Reality is people die every day and they will die in the future. This is the world we live in. There is not just one terrorist group there are all kinds of different ones. All of them trying to kill innocent people for all kinds of reasons. The whole terrorist organisations are so huge, well funded and well organised. It will be impossible to hunt down the leaders. When one terrorist is caught another one will replace that person. Don't forget those people we call terrorist don't think there are. They call others the terrorists. Normally I'm a very optimistic but on this issue I'm not.
