I love watching the Olympics. It's not that great to live in the city where they are. I lived in Atlanta when the summer games where there in 1996, and traffic was a nightmare. I remember it being very hard to get tickets to events as well. I went to two swimming events, and tickets were almost $200 an event.
Olympics do great things for cities though. Atlanta wasn't the best place before 96, and the Olympics made it a better city.

To be honest there could be only one winner, it's like the Olympic Games, there is always one winner with the gold medal.
London and Paris were both terrific cities and they both deserve to host the games.
London got it and Paris will have another chance some time in the future.

First of all, let say congratulations to all the Britains fo getting the Olimpic Games...
Although being Spanish, everyone can understand that all my best wishes were for Madrid. I really think they did a great work and deserved it... but it wasn´t possible this time.

i'm really disappointed Paris lost because i'm french and i had the feeling we deserved it : all the french wanted the games in paris and supported this project. It's third time we are refused the olympic games 
But i'm happy for london it's a great chance. It's in europe and not that far from france so be prepared, i know you don't like that, but you're going to be invaded by french supporters...;)

Actually it's Chirac who criticize the british food. I admit it was not clever at all...But it's not that bad...

Yeah, food is not that bad. 
I think if Paris has lost it's because we are too chauvinismes : we want one religion, one culture, one language, one population. (and when I say we, I mean government) it's not the case of Great-Britain. That's what I think, and I'm not the alone in France.

I think we deserved to get the Olympics, what that French guy said wasn't needed, lol. Even if he was joking. *Laughs in French guy's face*
I think he hates Tony Blair, anyways.
