PARIS in in final position with LONDON for the Olympic Games organisation 2012.

I guess the French must be terribly disappointed. I heard on the radio that it's the third time in 20 years that they were a candidate for organizing the Olympics.
I had not really a preference, both Paris and London are close to Belgium. The Olympics are always a lot more exciting for me when they take place in Europe.

I think it's a bit weird that we brits got it. The french seem to want it more than we did. should be quite cool though. I guess.

Ohh, I forgot they were announcing that today. Good for London. I thought it would be Paris, really.
So, upcoming Olympic Games: 2006 Winter Games - Torino, Italy 2008 Summer Games - Beijing, China 2010 Winter Games - Vancouver, Canada 2012 Summer Games - London, England

They were being really smug on the news earlier, it was funny. An English reporter was in Paris, grinning while saying how disappointed the French were.
I didn't really care where they were held, but good luck to London. I hope this helps some of the poorer areas.

I thought it would be Paris too, but when it came to the videos on why each city should have it, London's was really good.
I'm not really into sport that much, but I think it will be good (but then, I do live in London, so I'm probably biased)

 Thanks Taf!

When it was showing all different areas watching, and then cheering on the announcement I got quite giddy about it all. Then I thought... I'll be 25! Jeez, that's ages away! lol
That kind of put a downer on it... but still. Yay, London!
I always get really into random sports at this kind of thing. In the last Commonwealth games I was obsessively into Curling.

Well, after what French Prime minister said about English food, and English people, I don't think France really deserved the games. He totally ruined it for all of France. And believe me, I love France.
But, I'm glad England got them, the games are going to be great!

Go London! I'm glad they got the games, but I wouldn't really have minded if Paris did win.
