Please, Please help me for abbreviations !

I have a little probleme : I don't understand every abbreviations you used on the forum, it's a quite difficult to me to understand everythings even without abbreviations.  
So, please, can you put on this page every abbreviatons you know and what do they mean. I'll can learn them, and after it will be more easier for me.

Well, I'm not sure what kinds of abbreviations everyone else uses.. but I'll put up a few that come to mind. I don't use many myself, so I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
Lol = "Laugh out loud"
Rofl = "Roll on floor laughing"
Lmao = "Laugh my a** off"
IMO = "In my opinion"
IMHO = "In my honest opinion"
Hopefully others will ad more to the list for you!

Hmm, well there is "btw" which refers to "by the way" and there is "OMG" that stands for "Oh my gosh." That's all I can think of, sorry.

ne= any (personally, i hate that abbreviation.)
r = are
ur = your
u're = you are or you're
kno = know
wat = what
umm... that's all i can think of at the moment...

Just FYI (which, incidentally, means "for your information"), while these are abbreviations, and can probably be found all over the boards, most of these above mentioned ones are what we call "netspeak." We don't really encourage (okay, actually, we really discourage) netspeak on the boards. A little bit here and there is fine, but if all your posts start to look like "Hay! Wat up w/u? Btw, OMG, ur so kewl!" you'll probably start to get on people's nerves.
Not yelling at anyone, but just giving a friendly warning since you're new, and asking. Feel free to use abbreviations - just in moderation.

LOL! Flummoxed-I'm glad that I've never seem a sentence with that much "net speak". I'm not a big one for abbreviations, and some times find it annoying.
