You have all posted such beautiful pictures!! I guess it's my turn now.
I live not far from where Tolkien lived and that's where I studied as well. Two pics from the place where I studied:

It's quite funny because that town has a Tolkien Bus Route and Tolkien Trail, I read about it two years ago.
The town where I live with my mum is about an hour away from there.
The view from our front door (taken today)

The sky here never ceases to fascinate me...

The Town Park

The view from our back garden, which leads to the street.

Finally, a lovely sunrise.

Sorry for posting so many pictures, I got a bit carried away. Lovely thread Frodomyhero.

Carina, let me say I love all the pictures you have posted... I live in a quite crowded city and sometimes I miss that calm you seem to have at home... I just can´t wait to see the pics from your city in Germany... (I am sure soon you will be there).
Frodomyhero, I would love to see how it looks the place where you live so take your camera and show it to us!!

What a wonderful topic! And i am so enjoying your beautiful pics of your own personal Hobbitons.
I live in rural Quebec, and am definitely smack dab in the middle of my Hobbiton. I'll post a few pics now, and more later when I get them. I am forever seeing LOTR in the nature around me. That is one of my fave things about Tolkien's writings - his detailed and loving description of the natural world of Middle Earth.
Sunset from a walk down our road...

The next three are pics of the wood behind our house...

Our chickadee friends...they remind me of Hobbits..small, bright, sturdy, friendly, brave and with a lovely chirpy song...

What's a Shire w/o mushrooms, altho' I wouldn't eat this one...

Wild pansies under a fir tree...

Can't wait to see more of your pics!!

 Many thanks to Elfgirl/Manveri!!

My friend's house is built kind of into a hill, so he has grass growing on his roof. It's kinda like a hobbit hole, only it has heaps of windows. It's gnarlic.

I've been down with a wrenched back from work.. been out of work and going to doctors and xrays in hospitals and such so I haven't been able to get out and photograph. Aww these are all beautiful pictures that some of you are posting. It makes me want to go out and take photos of my home town. May do that tomorrow.
All I have at the moment are these:
This is the bandstand in Locke Park. It's where I learned to ride my bike.

Also in Locke Park.

This was the sunset a couple of nights ago that I saw out my brother's bedroom window.

Lovely pictures Annouille Do you live in the "Bretagne"? Specially the one with the house on the island. Thats not somewhere on the "île-de-brehat" I was round Paimpol, Ploubazlanec, Perros-Guirec many times. Its so wonderful there. The traditional costumes just look like Breton ones.

Yes, I'm Breton, my origins are near Quimper. The Traditionnal Costumes are of Quimper in the south of Britanny, the Forest is Huelgoat the most beautifull and magic forest than Brocelliande.
I don't live in Britanny but I hope a day and for holliday I always go in Britanny for dancing. For the House many houses are on the coasts like that.
PS : We have 2 towns, the names are Meriadec and Rohan, but I don't have pics.
