Kylie Minogue - Breast Cancer

I've just heard that Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer and it's just brought to me the seriousness of the illness.........
Anyone have any opinions?
I really feel sorry for her as she's had to cancel her Austrailian tour and her Show at Glastonbury

I heard the news this morning... it is terrible. I really wish she will be strong enough to face this horrible disease... and that at the end everything will be solved...
Anastasia had the same problem and it seems like it went well for her...

My mom had breast cancer. I can't even remember how long ago that was, now -- about over two years ago.
She wouldn't even tell us that that was what she had, until about a year afterward. She originally just said "I have to get surgery to remove a tumour that's been growing around the area under my arm, and I'll have to get some chemo/radiation therapy later on, because the tumour has some... well, I don't want to call them cancer, but there are cancerous cells. The chemo/radiation will just be to make sure the doctors didn't miss any bad cells when they took out the tumour."
So I just thought "Okay, that doesn't sound too serious."
My mom went through a lot of crap, though. She's still going through crap now, because she can't go back to her old job, since it involved lifting old people and giving them baths, etc. at the hospital (she can't lift heavy things anymore). People who are supposed to be helping her get off of disability (or whatever it's called) are giving her a hard time, like apparently her supervisor said the reason she was having trouble doing some tasks was because she had "chemo-brain" (making her stupid).
Anyway, I think breast-cancer, and cancer in general, is just horrible. I'm not a fan of Kylie Monogue, but hopefully her treatment goes well and she'll get better.

Oh my gosh poor you, I've never known anyone whose had cancer so I can't imagine what it must be like.
Anastascia coped with her cancer really well, I hope Kylie can because even though I don't really like her style of music, shes really down to earth and genuine

gosh I can't believe it. Poor Kylie.
I read the cancer is at an early stage. She is a fighter. She will beat the cancer I'm sure.

Yeh really glad it was caught in the early stages. I'd hate to imagine what could've happened if they hadn't found it

I've never been a fan of Kylie, but i really do feel for her.
I'm quite annoyed over all the press coverage. I know it's important for people to understand cancer and stuff, but that should come after she's recovered. Right now, she need peace and the reassurance that she won't be bothered.
That's the stupid thing about the press, they everything there and then.

That's terrible. I hope she recovers!
This disease scares me because breast cancer runs in our family, my grandma's sister died of it and my aunt had breast cancer but it was diagnosed in the early stages and treated.

Yes, I heard. It's quite sad.
I did hear that she went into immediate surgery so I hope everything turns out ok.
Other notes: I completely agree with Llywella and I'm so sorry Cazzie, breast cancer runs in my family too.

This is so weird because you never hear about a celebrity getting cancer...well I never have anyways...
My mom also had cancer about 4 years ago. It wasn't breast cancer, it was ovarian cancer. I remember going to visit my grandma and my mom and her were embrassed and both were crying, I had no clue why (I was only like 9 or 10) Well the radiation therepy caused my mom to go into early metapose and she apparently became suicidal. I'm glad I was young when all this happened because it would have affected me alot more if it had happend like a year ago. I was confused about most of it, and my mom explained about metapose and all that like a year ago. It's pretty scary...
I hope Kylie ends up being ok (I'm also not a fan but still)
