2 TOUGH QUESTIONS
Question 1: If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three  who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had  syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?   Read the next question before looking at the response for this one.
Question 2: It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts.   Here are the facts about the three candidates.

Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with an astrologist.   He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10  martinis a day.

Candidate B.
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C.
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?  Decide first... no peeking, then scroll down for the response.
------------------------------------------------------------

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question: If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.
Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone. Wait till you see the end of this note! Keep reading...

And Finally, can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:
* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year...
Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

I've heard the first one before.
It was used in a talk we had at school in RE about abortions.
No one in the class said yes to it.

Well, as to the first question, I wouldn't have recommended she'd have an abortion because I'm no doctor; I think it would have been better if she had one if the signs pointed to the fact that her child would be disabled also but if it seemed like the child was healthy and the risk to the mother was minimal, why risk losing a child? Generally I'm not in favour of abortion anyway unless the person got raped for example. But please let's not turn this into a discussion on Abortion.

I tend to think in the way that you don't know what's going to happen (in most cases) until it has happened and so we wouldn't know that, if she had aborted, she had aborted someone who was destined to become famous.

In case of the second question, I admit, based only on the descriptions, I would have elected Hitler to power without knowing it was him of course but that's not all you can think about, for a position such as this you have to look at many more factors than that, such as how the person feels about political issues and things like that.

And finally, judging from the statistics you gave about the US Congress, it looks like half of its members have to throw themselves in jail or give themselves community service. lol

Yes, politics is nothing more than a group of crooks banned together to run our country. Ha. But hey, it's worked for a couple hundred years, right? As far as those "good honest people" - well, hate to break it to you, but those numbers are rapidly growing smaller and smaller.

As far as those questions and statistics, none of them surprised me. I picked FDR for the leader thing.. haha. But I think I may have seen that one before. And the thing about the members of Congress, my Government teacher told us all that stuff a couple weeks ago. What a great group of people to be running our country, eh? Haha.

Interesting stuff - thanks for posting!

To be fair, the Titanic was very well built, it was that pesky iceberg that caused the problem.

I'd heard the first two before, but that thing on the Congress was interesting.
