Do you drink milk, aly?
| The assumption that vegetarians only avoid meat because animals are killed is simply wrong and this has been said here repeatedly. READ! Personally, I don't judge african tribes who hunt animals, however I do judge those who treat animals like crap during their lifetime because it's cheaper than actually treating them like animals. |
It was directed towards those people who are trying-to-save-the-planet. I'm not a dolt; I know that not all vegetarians stop eating meat because they think it's wrong.

What do you think happens to a milk cow after it stops lactating? It becomes a beef cow.

I think it's crap because all this guy is doing is critizing everyone but himself and thinks he is like God or something and everything he says is correct. I don't believe any of his information because he doesn't even present straight facts that I can read...they are all wrapped up in his stupid opinon. He is such a hypocrite...he kills thousands of animals and contributes to billions of animals of suffering. As vegetarians, we prevent many animals from being slaughtered and tortured. And if animals really do get killed from harvesting crops...what can we do about it?

I buy organic milk, and they specifically have dairy cows for the sole purpose of milking them. They treat them very well and they die of old age and natural causes. The cows don't get sold into a slaughterhouse. They get to live out a full life like they would normally in the wild..(if there are really any wild cows )

I'm not the one preaching to save the animals, now am I? I'm well aware of what happened to that piece of steak.

we share the planet, but, yes, humans are the dominant species. I've never seen another animal that has the identical capacities of a human. If we were equal, and on the same level, why should we care about protecting them? If it's "survival of the fittest" and we are, quite obviously, the fittest, shouldn't we kill them all? have u ever seen an animal spare some other animal out of pity if it plans on killing it? Some animals eat their own young. Female spiders eat the male spiders after they mate... should we eat men after we screw them? Animals can't transfer their anger, frustration, happiness, sadness, or any such emotion into anything creative or useful, as humans can. ... no, i deffinately think that we are superior.

You're definitley entitled to your opinion... and I am to mine... As far as I'm concerned .. I like the way the Buddists feel.. we all are living things which have an important place in the cycle of life on earth... and to RESPECT other living things is number one... not that WE as a race of beings are number 1...

My point is that alot of vegetarians will critize a meat eater for 'killing an animal and hurting it' without realising that they're doing it themselves. I'm (obviously) not a cow, but I can imagine that milking hurts.

Hmmm,I don't criticize meat eaters but I sure do have something to say when they think all I eat is salad! Surely they know that there are other ways of getting protein into the diet.It just takes longer and larger quanities. Also seafood is considered meat for all who think it isn't.I get tired of the "oh well,I'm vegetarian but I eat some chicken and fish".Well, you aren't a vegetarian I'm afraid.Just my 2 cents.
You meat eaters go on with your bad self!

We are the dominant species. Obviously, that's the truth. Otherwise, Planet of the Apes wouldn't be put in the Fiction section at bookstores. I do see your point, though. We should respect animals, to an extent. I just think calling them equals and saying we shouldn't even use them as a source for food is a little much. Anyways, though ... I figure I just think that because of where I'm from.

Humans are equal to animals, according to your standards, right? I guess you shouldn't be eating any dairy products. They hook those cattle up to machines and they suck the milk right out of them. Ouch, right?

perhaps it's a lose-lose situation for the cow to be milked?

Stop reading my signature. Don't deny it. You're reading it. I can see you. You're giving it the casual little once-over. How rude. Didn't your mother teach you better?

Omg thats great! All the information you need is at www.goveg.com you can order a vegetarian starter kit. (thats what got me started!) It will give u all kinds of recipes and help. You will most likely lose weight if you are a vegetarian IF you have a healthy diet. You must make sure you are getting the right amounts of nutrients, protien, etc. Only 2% of vegetarians are obese. Make sure you look up info on all of those nutrients so you know you are eating right. If you have any questions--just ask! Ill be here. oo also heres a page on the goveg website thats about making the transition to being vegetarian www.vegcooking.com/transition.asp Hope this helps!

If you aren't a vegetarian try out this website: www.meetyourmeat.com I'm telling you it will change your life. I became one after i saw all of the horrible conditions in factory farms and how the animals are treated. Its HORRIBLE!!
| I heard Orlando WAS a vegetarian.. but he ate meat to gain weight for his new movie.
