Please put all threads with the below topics in the Other Movies forum:

-Elijah movies
-Other movies
-TV
-Actors/Actresses other than LOTR
-Computer/Video games

Also, PLEASE do not make double threads for movies; check back a couple of pages to make sure your movie hasn't been already discussed. You can also use the 'search' button at the top of the page. Read the last post of the thread for more details.

Any questions about the new topics or any ideas for additional topics, please PM me and I will update the list.

I'd really like to emphasize what Maggie (MysteriousMrWood) said about not posting double threads, because for the past two hours or so, I've been fielding PM requests to merge threads because apparently, even though there's a thread of the *same* topic just below, people have been creating threads of duplicate topics. For example, a thread for Pirates of the Caribbean even though there's already an active one on the same page.

So, from now on, we'll just delete the thread, no matter how many replies it has gotten. If you don't want that to happen..Just use the search option at the top of the page, and make sure there's not already a thread of the same nature (unless you're making a poll..that's okay, then)..And for the record, yes, there's already a Matrix thread. There were about 15 before they were all merged just now. There's also a Monty Python thread, a thread for the Ring, a thread for X-Men, and threads for basically all of Elijah's movies (who would've thought?) ...

Anyway - please keep that in mind. Thanks.

Again, PLEASE do not make double threads for movies! Use the 'search' button at the top of the page. If you think you remember a thread on the topic you want to post about, look for it!

I realize our search button doesn't work all the time and isn't completely accurate. Here are some tips we've gained from experience that will help you get the best search results:

-Type in the movie title with a capital letter. (Example - type 'Chicago', not 'chicago')
-Click the 'Check all' box towards the middle of the page
-Click the sections you want to search, like Other Media. Keep the number of sections you check to a minimum.
-Where it says 'Max Age since last post', type at least 360 in the 'days' box so the results can be up to a year old.
-Click 'Search' and you're set.

It still may not be as accurate as you'd like, but you will get better results by doing this.

NEW A&F RULE:

Starting immediately, comments made on ANY thread of the forum must be a minimum of 10 words! Anything under 10 words is not acceptable, and therefore will be deleted. Also keep in mind that repetition of one word, over extending one word or over use of netspeak is not considered constructive and will also be deleted.

EXAMPLES:

I love Elijah very, very, very, very, very, very, much.

Yru like that? B4 u weren't, but I was 2.

The movie was bad. I've never been soooooooooooooooooo bored in my life.

Also under this rule is posting of smileys. They are to be used to convey a particular emotion, not a word and therefore over use of these will be cause for a post to be deleted as well.

EXAMPLE:

YUCK!

Or worse a single smiley:

This will apply to ALL threads of the board except those in the Random Clubs & Fun Stuff sections. But using any of the above mentioned should be keep to an absolute minimum. Also the current rule of a 5 word post will remain for the Fan Creativity section.

This new rule will be strictly enforced.
