The Snowman by Harold Blake « on: December 11, 2008, 09:34:14 am » I don't know how many of you know this, but it's shown on our TV every Christmas eve. Every frame of the animation is actually rendered by an actual pencil, so they actually put a lot of effort in it. And the music is amazing. See part 1 See part 2 See part 3 Yes, that's actually David Bowie at the start. It's pretty unusual for a Christmas story because it's bittersweet... but great nonetheless. Just one point - I think Howard Blake wrote the score for the cartoon - it is based on a book by Raymond Briggs.  Of course Aled Jones is famous for not having sung 'Walking In The Air'. Some people think what the lesson might be... but I think I know what. As long as all your friends are around, enjoy their company as much as you can, because there will always be the time when those days are over. I watched this on Christmas Eve - it was as brilliant as I remember.
