I love the Snowman - it's always on Christmas Eve here and it just makes Christmas for me. I always end up crying though. I saw it in on the stage a few years ago and it was magical.
Just one point - I think Howard Blake wrote the score for the cartoon - it is based on a book by Raymond Briggs. Of course Aled Jones is famous for not having sung 'Walking In The Air'.

^ I like your interpretation of the message. Its what Christmas should be about - making the most of the time we have with those we love.
I watched this on Christmas Eve - it was as brilliant as I remember.
