I've seen most of her movies, but my favourite is 'Some Like it Hot' because Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are also really great in this. I own at least three biographies about her as well. Marilyn never knew her real father, spent time in foster homes where she was abused, her own mother had a bit of a mental problem which was probably passed down to Marilyn who had problems with addiction and relationships, many abortions etc. She was a luminous beauty who lit up the silver screen, and married at 17 for the first time, also later marrying Joe DiMaggio (baseball star) and playwright Arthur Miller, and famously had affairs with JFK and allegedly Robert Kennedy as well! Her death is still a matter of conjecture. Best Marlyn line ever and words to live by.
