We're having a bit of a revival in our house at the moment - sat and watched a load of the Christopher Eccleston series yesterday, including 'Aliens of London' and 'World War Three', which really are great, and 'The Empty Child' and 'The Doctor dances' which are my two favourite Dr Who episodes ever. No offence to all you David tennant fans, but watching them back makes me think how much better CE was.

The christopher eccleston series is amazing but i don't think he is any better than David Tennant. In the first episode he was in, the christmas invasion i was blown away, i hadn't watched it before and was hooked after that. I only watched the other series shortly after. David Tennant has done some brilliant episodes.

That's true Bronwyn - I remember Christopher Eccleston said he didn't want to be typecast, but I can think of worse things to be typecast as than Doctor Who! Mind you, I said I wasn't going to watch david Tennant when CE left, and now DT is leaving I've said I won't watch the next season, but I know I probably will, lol!

Sorry to double post, but it's been so long and this is so important that I hope it's OK! The 11th Doctor has been announced - his name is Matt Smith. He seems interesting - the youngest Doctor yet. Russell T. Davies, who is also leaving, says he's jealous not to have the chance to work with Matt - so I hope this means the next series will be something special!
