Ahhh, I'm so excited about the next episode!
(Maybe spoiler)
I'm so glad I just watched both Torchwood series (in the space of 2 weeks) in time for this, otherwise I would have had no clue who the other people were, lols.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to the last few...though I haven't seen Torchwood. Still, last week's episode was really good, and it was great to see Rose again - though was it just me, or was she talking funny?

she was talking as if her teeth were to big for her mouth Mary, i noticed that too! i dont think you will need to know everything about Torchwood, but it would help for the emotional side of the episode maybe as you would know the characters better. but either way, it will be brill

I don't want it to be the end of the series tomorrow That means all my telly watching of series will come to an end, and I shall have to search for something new. Noooo!

Ahhh, all over!
SPOILERS
Loved it. Gutted that Catherine Tate has left though, she was the best sidekick in the recent series'. Can't be doing with them when they fall in love with him. Even tho David Tennant is fiiit! Rather pleased with the (although slight) nakedness in this finale, haha.

I've been avoiding this thread but I've finally got round to watching the last two episodes, so now I can post away! I thought these were easily the best two episodes of the series - I loved the way everyone was reunited from the previous ones. Any episode with Daleks is guarenteed to be a good one, and this was great! Did anyone else love that mad Dalek?
Question - was Davros a baddie in the really old Dr Who series?

im nerdy so i can answer your question Mary. yes Davros was the baddie in the really old dr who series. he is the creator of the daleks and a mad scientist from the planet Skaro. the Dr has stopped his plans many times and at one point made his daleks turn on him. this episode was interesting as the daleks are just using davros, unlike in the old series where he used them.

Oh, thanks for the explanation Dan! That makes things clearer. I thought he seemed to have a bit of a history with the Dr, but I wasn't too sure.
Have you watched all the old series?

Same here. Love Doctor Who - but I must admit, I was never a big captain Jack fan.
Dan - I keep meaning to see if I can rent copies of the old series. My dad remembers them and says they were pure gold.

oh they really were. Tom Baker series was the best, but i saw that one first so... but they are all like your dad said, pure gold!
Torchwood is very much like dr who but with more blood/action/sex/language/horror its a great show to watch for the fun of things really. each season kinda stands on their own, but to get the emotional connection to characters it would be best to try and find a place to watch the first season as the second alot happens to them....

I just watched the end of series 2 again. I am pulling a sad face. Poor Rose and poor Doctor.
