New Robin Hood series

I used to love ( and still do) the 1980's Robin Hood series staring Michael Pread
 and later Jason Connery.

For all, who also love the hooded man, there is going to be a new BBC series later this year on TV. http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/robinhood/
Filming started on Monday 3rd April in Budapest on the highly anticipated new series of Robin Hood for BBC ONE. Fun, modern and intelligent, Robin Hood 2006 sets out to entertain a whole new generation and stars newcomer Jonas Armstrong in the lead role.
Peter Fincham, Controller, BBC ONE says : "Jonas looks the business as our new Saturday night hero, Robin Hood. This exciting drama will be a unique blend of exhilarating action adventure, wit and romance - something for all the family on BBC One."
Oh I can't wait....
Jonas Armstrong is going to be the new Robin. He looks very nice too. Also Richard Armitage (love him also) will be playing Guy of Gisburne.

Found this Elijah Impact
Tony Robinson is a British actor and writer. He's probably best known around the world for his role as Baldrick, the somewhat dense comic sidekick on the various Blackadder series. Currently he's working on a number of projects, most notably Time Team -- a popular archaeology TV series. Mr. Robinson has long been interested in archaeology and serves as the president of the Young Archaeologists' Club.
He is also the vice-president of UK Equity, the British actors' union.
Most relevant for a site on Robin Hood, Mr. Robinson created the popular British comedy Maid Marian and Her Merry Men. Maid Marian ran for four seasons between 1989 and 1994. In the show, Marian was the brains of the outlaw gang while Robin Hood was a cowardly, fashion-obsessed twit. Mr. Robinson also played the Sheriff of Nottingham in the series, a villain whose plans were far more cunning than those of Baldrick.
In 2003, Tony Robinson turned his attention to the Robin Hood legend once again in his new book In Search of British Heroes and the television documentary Robin Hood: Fact or Fiction.

Loved that show. "Gary, you're as stupidly sentimental as an Australian soap opera".
Aaaanyway. I love everything to do with Robin Hood (yes, including the Kevin Costner film). The BBC are doing well with their new... what's the plural of series? Series's? So this should be good.

I never watched those Robin Hoods that you spoke of Etaeb. But I do vaguely remember the Maid Marian one with Tony Robinson...
I think I may have to take a look at this new series. Robin Hood looks to be rather hot. Especially in your siggy! Ooh! lolol

Rai, it's "series," I believe. Language is a funny thing...
This looks like a good one! I've been watching some of BBC's recent series and I like what I see. They seem to be getting better all the time.
Is Jason Connery Sean's son?

Do not speak to us of the greatness of poetry, Of the torches wisping in the underground, Of the structure of vaults upon a point of light. There are no shadows in our sun, Day is desire and night is sleep. There are no shadows anywhere.
