Last evening i watched What a Girl Wants and I reminded myself of how much I faint for Colin... There are other Colinettes here?
*Mr Darcy* *Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones* *John/Earnest in The Importance of Being Earnest* and above all *Vermeer in Girl with Pearl Earring*

I love Colin Firth. He is the ultimate Prince Charming.... or not
No, he is just fantastic. He was really great in Another Country too - with Rupert Everett.
I loved him the most (heh) in Pride and Prejudice. There will never, ever, ever, be a better Mr Darcy.

when I went to watch Girl with pearl earring in theater, I expected to see a good costume movie. I didn't expected myself to cry every moment "Oh, Colin!". And even, my thought stream was like that: ColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColinColin...well you took it. As Mr Darcy he was smashing. Though I think also Laurence Olivier made his figure.

And a lovely avatar you got Galadriel!
Oh yes, The Importance of Being Ernest! I never saw that, he starred with Reese right? And yes he was in Love Actually.
lol, have you guys noticed that he always seems to go for the romantic roles like Hugh Grant. Hehe, I think Colin is so much better though.

I also think he is a great actor. I loved him in Pride and Prejudice as Mr. Darcy. That's a great movie.

I haven't seen yet neither Love Actually nor Another Country. Do you recommend them to me? Love Actually has an impressive cast, hasn't it? I suppose there is also Liam Neeson in it... About Colin's movies, I rented this What a girl wants. It's too cute! A little bit silly, but Colin... wow! I recommend to you all. Galadriel, I'm honored to host a Moderator here. I noticed your *lovely* avatar... wow!

I didn't like Love Actually, it had a steller cast - but they were all wasted IMHO. (especially Colin and Alan Rickman)
About recommending Another Country, well I enjoyed it - but I'm not sure what type of movies you like...
I really enjoyed What a Girl Wants as well.

Love Actually wasn't really super, but I love it all the same. They could've done a lot more with it, but I still own it and watch it a lot. It's just a real feel good movie.
I really liked What a Girl Wants ... Not a fan of Amanda Bynes all that much, but it was really cute and I loved that Colin was in it.
Ah, I like Hugh Grant. He's totally different from Colin Firth though...
Hah, Cecilia, I don't know what to say.. I'm honored that you're honored, but don't be silly. Thanks for making the thread! Let's have a lot of fun here, discussing Colin Firth, who I absolutely adore. <3 I thought I was the only one round here... Very pleased to meet all you other fans!

Thanks, Galadriel. I wanted just to be polited in a *Darcy* way . You shouldn't take me seriously (I don't do that even) Thanks to your recommendations. I'm actually thinking only about Troy to say the truth (I'm going to watch it on Friday! Yeeeh!) Have I said how i appreciated (appreciated? I thought it was called another way...) Colin as Vermeer? Yes... He's SO SEXY! Yum!

Awwh, I like both Hugh and Colin. What A Girl Wants was a cool movie and I liked Love, Actually a lot. The nakedness threw me off a bit though. I didn't expect that one. Lol
