Deathly Hallows -possibly two films

I thought of this as I read, and reread, the last book. I have NO idea how they will get all the required material into a single film, even if it's as long as ROTK. Apparently, I'm not the only one thinking of it.

I heard that too. I don't know how they'll get everythingin, but making 2 films seems so odd, somehow. I don't know what they'll do.

The key, it seems to me, is where they break it. I'm trying to decide where the logical place would be. Where Ron comes back, perhaps? It's a fairly heroic and dramatic moment.
There are a number of possibilities.

I also read the news on mugglenet! So great, I think it's really great idea to do DH in two parts. That way there will be enough time to explain everything. I was wondering, were would you guys stop teh first film?
Maybe after they broke into Gringotts and before they go and battle at Hogwarts, or otherwise after they return form the lovegoods and before they go to the malfoys. what do you think?

I am quite pleased about this too - takes the deadline for when there will be nothing left further back. I think they do need 2 films really - they have to include all the detail for the grand finale. can't wait!

Just read this on mugglenet.com:
An article here states that the release date for the first part of Deathly Hallows will be 19th November 2010!
Yes, it's still a long way off - but a date for the diary anyway!

I saw that. I'll have to put it on my calendar.
I am STOKED about this being two films! The first time I read it, I thought it would have to be split. There's just no way to get everything into one film, and very little that can be left out.

They could shorten it considerably if they'd leave out most of the camping scenes.
I just hope they don't wait a year between the parts, like with the LOTR movies.

They simply MUSTN'T leave out the scene where Ron returns! That's absolutely critical because he detroys a horcrux!

I don't think they will - you're right, it's crucial to the whole story, not to mention one of the best bits!
I bet it is at least a year between the two of them.
