Thanks for the clip, Rach, and the photos Yeux.  I think I might have seen one of them before, the second one. Nice to see Daniel moving further away still from Harry Potter.

This film is due to be shown sometime over the next few months on UK channel ITV, as part of their 'drama premiers' over the autumn.  Looking forward to it.

Oh wow... He looks like an old dude

haha he shouldn't wear a mustache, it doesn't suit his face. Haha, no but the movie seems to be one where Daniel really grows up, you know. It seems more adult-like. I now remember reading an interview with him in English class... there he said: "No, I'm not trying to grow a bad teenage moustache, I had to grow it for a movie".

oooh, did you read the press release that accompanies the photo?  The DVD of "My Boy Jack" will be released in the UK November 19.  Extras include a "Making of..." and interviews with Daniel, David Haig and Kim Catrell.  If only it weren't region 2.  I bet it will be released here soon, too.  I'll have to start watching amazon.com for it to be available by pre-order.

And Daniel wears a uniform that belonged to the real Jack Kipling.  Amazing!

ETA -- Just checked amazon.com and the DVD isn't available yet in the US.  But December Boys is....see my comment in that thread.

For anyone in the UK who is interested in seeing 'My Boy Jack', it is showing on ITV this Sunday coming at 9pm.  I'll have my video recorder ready!

Actually, "My Boy Jack" IS going to air in the US, on Masterpiece Theater, no less!

The scheduled date is April 20, 2008!

Yessss!   That's exactly what I was hoping for. 

A friend in The Netherlands offered to send me the show to download.  I figured I could do the download at work where I have a faster connection.  Then I could burn it to a DVD.  I guess I won't bother with all that now if I can see it in April....and record it for posterity.

Hope you enjoy it!

I'm ashamed to say I haven't got round to watching it yet  - I taped it at the time and I haven't got round to watching all of it back yet.  I've watched about half and it looks pretty good though!
