Well, I recently read the book and rented the DVD last night. It surprised me as it was completely different from the book - there really was very little the same - but I really enjoyed it. I was also pleasantly surprised by Dan Radcliffe - I never thought he was much of an actor  - but he was actually really good and believable in December Boys.
The ending was very sad, I cried too.
Plus I liked the soundtrack.

I watched it absentminded ,but i enjoyed it , Daniel's performance was amazing and very grown up
