Thanks for that link Rach! He comes across as very committed, and he seems to enjoy doing small indie films as much as Harry Potter, which bodes well for the future, I guess.

Not yet. I've been watching the theaters but we don't get many THOUGHTFUL movies here.
Sigh
I'll keep an eye out, though. This looks like a REALLY good film.

Haven't seen it Cristiel, and I don't think it'll be out here. My cinema doesn't really show small films. I'm keeping an eye out for it on DVD though.

The trailer was on digital cable here for quite a while and was VERY interesting! It sounds, and looks, very much like a film I'd enjoy, but I doubt it would ever come here.

It's been released here in australia for a few months now. It hasn't gotten much critical aclaim though. From the trailers i've seen Daniel seems to do a good job of the Australian accent - i've been meaning to see it but life's been hectic lately.
anyway i hope it's lack of huge success here doesn't prevent it from getting to you guys!

I THINK it's scheduled to be released on dvd here. Don't take that as gospel, though. I BELIEVE I heard that it was though no date was given.
My son sent me an article a week or two ago about a new technology that is supposed to make more films available for d/l, legally and inexpensively so that even the smallest movies can reach the consumer. I'm looking forward to seeing this take off.

Indeed it is. The time frame seems to get shorter and shorter. Elijah's new film, Day Zero, opens January 18 and the DVD is being released February 26.

Has anyone else seen it? I borrowed it from a friend of mine and I enjoyed it...it made me cry also.
