Release dates and locations and other info on the release of "December Boys" can be found here.

Charlotte is as close as it's going to come to me, I'm afraid. I'll have to wait for DVD.

Why does the site only gives release dates for the US? Like there are no other countries?
Anyway, no date for Belgium anyway (according to imdb) but I do very much look forward to this films. I hope it makes it to our little country.

I spent a good few minutes looking for a release date for the UK....I saw a trailer on TV for it last night so I hope its coming here, though knowing my local cinema, I'll probably end up waiting for DVD. I hope its a good film, looks pretty different from anything Daniel Radcliffe's done before.

Maybe I just missed it but was it coming to NYC? I thought EVERYTHING went there first, but I don't remember seeing it on the list. I could have missed it though.

I had another look on the list, I couldn't see New York on there either. Not that it makes much difference to me though. But I do hope I can see it sooner or later.

That's what I hear. He has been talking about it in his interviews here. He said that scene was more difficult than being nude in "Equus".

No offense, but I think none of these nudity and shirt-less movies that Daniel is doing will be something that stikes in mind! He's so trying to tell people not to know him as "Harry Potter" but he can't do that..he won't survive! I wish I could tell him these words..I wish!

I'm not particularly interested in nudity in movies. I think it's often a crutch, sensationalism used to shore up a bad story, but I wouldn't say Dan couldn't survive it. Lots of actors have.
As for breaking away from HP, he has to do that. There are two more movies and then HP is over. Dan will be 21 years old with his entire life and career ahead of him. He HAS to show people he can do more than HP and the sooner he does it, the better.
I'm not sure nudity is the way to do it, but it sure is a QUICK way....
BTW, just because Dan has a "loss of virginity" scene in "December Boys", it doesn't necessarily follow that there will be nudity shown. It all depends upon how the scene is shot.

I think December Boys is a good thing for Dan to do. He will definately be typecast as Harry Potter by some people, but if he starts doing a lot of different things, now and when he's finished Harry, then it won't be as bad. I mean, a lot of people already don't just think of him as Harry Potter, they think of Equus too.

I think that Dan has to do other things if he wants people to consider him a serious actor. It will already be very difficult for him to make people not to see him as Harry Potter. "Equus" showed him as an adult and proved that he can do all sorts of things. And I admire him for taking on such a role. It shows that he's not afraid of taking risks and I like actors who are like that.
I've been told that there's not a lot of nudity in "December Boys", the movie is rated PG-13.

OK, thanks. Though I suppose Daniel wouldn't be afraid of nudity, after Equus. You're right in saying that he's taken a couple of risks.

Well, it's the other way around really. He did "December Boys" before doing "Equus".
