I don't know. I've been trying to figure out what scene this could be.
Anyone have any ideas?

What exactly is a reed bed? Is it like the edge of a river?
I'm listening to HBP now (again before I return it since it will still be a bit until I can get book 7 on tape or CD to listen to), and at the beginning, Narcissa and Bellatrix head to visit Snape in Spinner's End (I think that's the name) and they apparate to the edge of a river where they see a fox. Of course, Harry isn't there, so they wouldn't need Daniel's stunt double. That's all that's coming to me as a possibility at the moment.
Oh wait! Or at the very end at Dumbledore's funeral the merpeople come up for the lake and sing a lament. Could that be reedy?
I'm kind of grasping at straws here. . .

You're probably right, my friend. I hadn't thought of that but reed beds would be very evocative, not to mention a very easy way to work in the special effects.

I actually had a Well, duh! moment while I was doing Pilates. If not the merpeople, I'll bet it's for the area around the entrance to the cave where Harry and Dumbledore find the locket.

Here's an interesting interview about HBP that verifies that the kissing scenes between Ron and Labendar ARE included in the film. It's in Spanish but Babel Fish does a fair translating job.

Thanks Rach! :-) I guess there will be plenty of scenes with Harry and Dumbledore (and/or others), so Emma Watson could easily get some time off for her exams. Interesting that they have things in comments with their characters.

I'm glad they are going to be shooting the Ron and Lavendar scenes because that would seem to indicate that they will be keeping the romantic Ron and Hermione storyline.
But then, I wish they could keep EVERY storyline. *sigh

Haven't checked the link yet but thanks for the news that that part of the story will definately be in the film Rach - they tend to cut so much out but its nice to know that will be in it.

I live in fear that they will cut the part of DH where Ron pulls the sword out of the water and is then tortured by the locket. I REALLY want to see that!

I'd be surprised if they cut that. It's important, not just to Ron's character development, but also to the main story of destroying the horcruxes, so I think they'll leave it. They could let Harry destroy it, I suppose, but I really don't expect that.

I hope they don't give it to Harry. I'm still upset that PJ gave Sam's introspective words about the dead soldier to Faramir in TTT! LOL
One of the best parts of the last book (which REALLY isn't on topic here but there ya go LOL) is that so many people got to destroy horcruxes, that Harry DIDN'T do this alone (much like Tolkien's theme of cooperation).
I accidently deleted it but I got an alert this morning that the actress who plays Cho starts working on HBP in January. Can't think it will take long....
Hugs, Rach
