"Oh, I'm certain this one will send you Potter nuts into a frenzy. With Warner Brothers already set to debut Superman Returns on both regular and IMAX screens, the studio has just announced a partnership with IMAX Corporation to bring the fifth installment of Harry Potter to IMAX as well.
Here's where you say, "But Erik, two other Harry Potter films have been released on the IMAX screen -- what's different about this one?" Yes, but what if I tell you that some of the film might be converted over to 3-D? Will you love me forever? According to Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment, everyone involved is currently exploring the option of transforming a chunk of the film into 3-D. I imagine they will wait and see how well Superman Returns does before making any definite decisions, but the idea sounds pretty cool to me.
The last two Harry Potter films grossed $34 million in IMAX theaters alone, though I would imagine that number would be higher if part of the film was in 3-D. However, with the tone of each Potter adventure growing increasingly darker, I wonder if parents would keep their kids away from an IMAX 3-D version of the film for fear the technology would scare the youngsters? What do you think? Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is scheduled to hit conventional theaters and IMAX theaters on July 13, 2007."
This is SO going to be COOL . I just hope I be able to watch it..if I was in the US  *Hops*

hmmm...how odd. it'd definitely be something to see, that's for sure. I might even be afraid of the visual effects in 3-D. sounds crazy.

I LOVE to go and watch it but last time on the GOF mom didn't let me to watch the I-max movie. well she did but really didn't want me to go and watch the I-max version, she was afraid I might get headache But I go and watch it FOR SURE (if I was there)

This should be really cool. Book-5 is my most favorite of the Harry Potter books. Can't wait for this film.
BTW, did anyone see the Daniel Radcliffe bit on 'Extras' that's showing on 'yourtube'? It's very funny and a little.......disturbing

I hope 5 will go back to being more light hearted because the other 2 were too dark I liked the fun of the first movie.

I think I would just take my Gryffindor scarf & tie and move into that theater because this sounds awesome. I could live with Harry Potter constantly playing in 3-D around me

You can join me at anytime I still have room in my dormentry wanna join? I'm wondering if the movie comes out is it going to be 3-D in DVD also? We need glasses for that?

I definitely want to join! *starts packing all her bags as fast as she can* I wonder if they would do that? If the DVD did come out in 3D I hope they would give the glasses away with the DVD because I dunno where else to find them!
