Happy Birthday, Rupert!
I was looking at a site about him the other day and was amused to see that, like his character, Rupert is one of seven children. Art imitates life, I guess.
Hugs, Rach

I found a bunch of really nice shots of Rupe here.
They're from a tv show he was one but it wasn't anything I have ever heard of.

Lovely photos there Rach, thanks for posting. He has a beautiful smile and he always looks so relaxed.
Interesting point about him coming from a family of 7 kids! I never knew that!

I just saw "Driving lessons" and it's pretty cool, Rupert it's a great actor, indeed we all knew that before, but he was great in that movie, he looks a lot like a normal boy and not "Ron"

Glad you enjoyed Driving Lessons, Lu-vi-bi:

Yep, it has its own thread!
I hope Rupert chooses to do some more stuff like Driving Lessons. I think it helped him develop as an actor.

I adore "Driving Lessons" but then you all al ready knew that. Rupe's an extremely talented actor so of course he do parts other than Ron. He's just getting started with his career.
As to the red hair, I know he has a red headed sister, but I don't know about the other 5. Unlike the twins, Rupert's hair seems to be naturally read. I've never seen him with any other color and he definately has the complexion of a redhead.
Rupert says he definately wants to continue acting and do more different things. I think the HP films just keep him pretty busy for now. Hugs, Rach

He is naturally red-headed, I remember him saying that was just one of the many things he shared with the character of Ron.

Being a Rupert Grint fan, and on the recommendation of my friend , Yeux de bleu, I watched this movie today while I was working out. I expected fare befitting a 12 year old boy and that's what I got...except....
Rupert. I can't quite put my finger on what made him stand out. It was almost as if his skin was emitting a light of its own, a sort of mildly radioactive glow. In every scene in which he appeared, not only did he act the kid who was the supposed "star" into a hole in the background, but you couldn't take your eyes off him! It was bizarre! The only reason I can put to it, other than Rupert's acting talent and obvious screen presence, is the fact that the sets are predominately green in color and if you've seen "Driving Lessons", you know that green is definitely Rupe's color.
It's a silly premise and story, but Rupert makes it more than worthwhile. A couple of things puzzle me, though. I'm going to have to ask my British friends a question...
Why was a boy in England watching AMERICAN news? Why would he WANT to? Is it because of the space stuff, or was the writer stretching it?
Hugs,
Rach

Yes, it was Thunderpants. I thought I had put it in the subjectline but apparently I didn't.
I want to watch the director's commentary for that film. I want to know why he used so much green. Couple of other things, too.
Hugs, Rach

I haven't seen Thunderpants but in answer to your question:

I don't think many British kids watch any news at all, let alone American news!
