I saw 'Die Hard' recently and I thought he was really funny, cause his accent kept going from British to wannabe-German. Oh well, he's still good-looking.
Vadas...Jane Austen? I don't believe I've actually read any of her stuff, though I have heard of her. What's one thing you would reccomend? I might try to read her after Tolkien, though exprobably not.
(There need to be more homestar fans out there.)

there are a hundred million homestarrunner fans out there, m'dear. I'm just not one of them. I've chosen not to when 20 different people sent me the same link in one month. For no reason, I chose not to like homestarrunner. Just because of that reason. i probably would like it if i saw the episodes and whatever.. but im the one person who just doesn't.. like homestarrunner.
and i LOVE the pics you post up here!!! ^___^
Miss, you are now officially my buddy.
OH! elijahjovi!! i totally forgot, bon jovi is the other guy i find utterly sexy.. maybe because he reminds me of david bowie.. im not sure. but yah. thanks for reminding me.

That's cool. I did that with Harry Potter because EVERYONE told me I HAD to read the books. I went around saying "I hate Harry Potter!" and watched people get annoyed; I certainly showed THEM. Haha.
But then...I read them. And now I'm a big ol' HP nerd. Not all things are bad to try. I used to watch homestar when it first started out all crappy; but now they have those cool new graphics. Strong Bad is almost a hero of mine.
If you don't want to watch it, that's cool. But I think you're missing out.

Thanks for posting the pics, I don't feel atracted to him physically, but he's an amazing actor! I had no idea he was almost in his 60's

Well, I started this thread as an appreciation thread: we don't all have to appreciate him in the same capacity. He is a good actor, I agree; well, maybe he shouldn't try to play a German bank robber, but overall, I like his acting.

Don't do it if you don't want to do it. Or do it, and then pretend like you hate it anyway (or don't pretend, if you really do hate it). However...
If you ARE going to watch, I suggest looking at this one: caffiene.
Here's Alan Rickman as a German bank robber in Die Hard (haha, so funny how his accent kept changing):

Woo hoo!! Alan Rickman! curious bout efans, here's something else we both have in common. Incidentally, one of my fav A.R. performances was him as Metatron in "Dogma." The scene with him unzipping his pants was hilarious...and slightly frightening.
He does make a heck of a good Snape...he fits perfectly b/c frankly, i think Snape is very sexy...

Sorry, this is probably the most annoying way to answer a post, but I'm going crazy right now...just right now? Yes. Maybe. Hey, look over at that penguin!
Quote from: Quiquag on January 19, 2004, 10:02:20 pm WOOHOO! I agree.

Or was it H*R?

Yeah, he was really funny there. I dug the standing-on-water part while Bethany was thrashing about in the water.

Hmm...I too was a bit afraid. Kind of weird anatomy. Kevin Smith is weird.

Mmm...lord yes, I agree with you here. In the books...very cool. In the movie...how can I put this? Oh yeah: Huminahuminahumina...etc. I feel very teeny-bopperish writing that, but really, what a presence he has! And he's so wonderfully...British. I don't know how else to say it.

I'm incredibly happy I started this thread. I was starting to think I was the only one who appreciated Alan Rickman!
Is it just me or does he look cute here?

Edit: Stupid website. I had to use my own website for this...*mumbles profanities*

Urgh...so annoying. I use the 'preview' button, I can see the picture, and then it doesn't show up. I've gotta start checking the actual thread. I'll find another picture and edit it.
You're contributing to my happiness, Lady of [Mr.] Wood...heh heh. I always giggle when I write your name. So much innuendo.
