Elijah on RADIO

I haven't been here in a while! Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else!
I heard on the radio this morning that Elijah will be hosting a 2 hour show on Radio 1 at 10 pm Sunday 30th September. It is part of their 40th Birthday celebrations. He'll be playing the best of John Peel. www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/established1967/feature/djshows.shtml
I'm sure people who cant get to hear the show live will be able to listen on 'Listen Again'.

nope. it's only been posted on the main page, but i'm really looking forward to hearing this. john peel actually invited elijah to host a two hour slot on the station a few years ago, so i'm sure he's looking forward to honoring john.

I'm really looking forward to it. It seems like a long time since I've heard Eliajh's beautiful voice. I've heard somewhere that he's a huge John Peel fan - I can't believe the legend himself actually invited Elijah onto the show. It'll be pretty special - John Peel meant so much. Roll on September 30th!

they usually have a repeat of the shows yeux, so you should be able to catch it later... at your own dial-up pace.

i got an alert today about this and i forgot that when john asked elijah to sit in for him during his vacation, ironically, it was on that vacation where john died.
this should be rather emotional for elijah.

I bet it will be. I didn't know that. 
Yeux - you can usually access the shows on Radio One for a week afterwards. It'd be lovely though if someone could record and I could download onto my MP 3 player...

I bet this day will be very special for him. It's going to be very different, I agree and I am very curious about his approach to the situation.

I've got my tape player and radio already tuned....  I have to try and find out how long I can tape for though - the show lasts two hours, doesn't it? If I do get it taped, I might even be able to make an MP3 file!

yup. 2 hours. i see they have a webcam on the site, though i don't think it'll be active when elijah's slot will be on. so still, there's no way of knowing if it will be live or not.
