For UK fans:
Sky Movies Premiere will be screening an 'Oxford Murders' special at 5.40pm on Saturday 19th April.
I couldn't find any information as to the length of this etc - probably it'll just be a short 'making of' type thing - but anything is good!!

If you search in "youtube" there's a lot of interviews and scenes from the movie... there is two in particular very funny, but are from a TV program CQC and they are part in english and part spanish, sorry.-

So there IS a possibility of a premiere happening in the UK  On lj I read OM's gonna be released april 25 th there, but I might be wrong of course  whow it's been a really long time since I posted here

this is the status of the film.
it has only been released in theaters in spain and france. coming up this week, in italy and then later this month in the UK. it did very well in spain and not too bad in france. it was listed as opening in germany in february, but i haven't heard anything about it.
there's still no word about other countries it will be opening in, but i hope that information comes soon... especially for the US.

there is a screening coming up in the UK this week as well, but i don't think it's a premiere. the venue is very small from what i understand. only 75 seats.

Yes, I've been wondering why we haven't heard about any US theatrical release; I hope it does't just come here in DVD form. I would like Elijah to have the publicity and exposure of a widely released film.

elijah is on tv on saturday 26th april. Its a behind the scenes special about the oxford murders:) its on channel- sky drama, and its on at 2:55am, so you may need to record it:P sorry if you already know, sarah x

I saw the film on Saturday……twice!!
Now I admit that the main reason I went back a second time was to get another dose of Elijah…but it was also to clarify some of the plot details in my mind too. Honest! I’m the first to admit that I’m rubbish at solving murder mysteries, but I think that this film’s emphasis on ‘talk’ not ‘action’ might be its downfall – there are some nice plot twists, but I only properly understood these the second time round, and I think your average movie-goer is going to feel a bit confused by the subtleties, especially at the climax of the film – which frankly makes it fall a bit flat. 
It seems to be garnering some disappointing reviews in the UK, e.g.

(The first one is about the most complimentary I could find!)
Unlike the second reviewer, I thought it was well-acted by all concerned, given that many of the characters themselves are somewhat clichéd (as they often are in murder mysteries). It’s certainly an Elijah fan’s dream because he’s in virtually every scene. Hmm…...maybe that was what was distracting me from the plot!!

I had that feeling from the book but hoped the director might change things a bit for the movie version. The main thing about negative reviews is that it might hold prevent the movie from being picked up and shown in the US. I would love to see Elijah on the big screen this yr.

Oh, I do hope bad reviews here don't stop it being screened in the US - that would be such a shame for all you US fans! It's always a risky business with independent films, though - 'Day Zero' got good reviews (as far as I'm aware), but it was never screened in the UK - well, certainly not at a cinema anywhere near me. It's not even been released on DVD here, so I had to order a copy from Switzerland!

you know romeny.... and i'm sure you're with me on this, i'm getting quite tired of this crap! i cringe when i see these high up executives or whatever wind-up monkey is running the show, consistently insist on releasing movies i wouldn't take a blind person to. just let the damn movie get released and be done with it!

You're right Deenan. I know I've got a bad case of the Elijah's when I feel so stressed over his movies...will they be released?...will it get a good review?...when's the DVD release? LOL
And its galling however when I see the other foolishness they put on the screen now; better to have Elijah on his worst day than some of the stuff they show. Geez
