Thanks Deenan for the link! The title on the page said 'Thrill to the sight of Elijah Wood doing math!' which was about right! Looks amazing, definately one to see. Got a few glimpses in there of the sex scenes as well....

Thanks for the photo and poster Deenan, you always keep us updated! All the stuff for it looks really dramatic and a bit dark, doesn't it?

I like all the posters that I've seen for this. Dramatic and dark is appropriate for a murder mystery; I wonder how long before a US distributor picks this film up.

i don't know about a premiere, but they usually happen before the movie comes out. if there is to be one, it would happen sometime before the 18th. so far i haven't heard any news about a premiere, though it would seem like there would be one.
check out this video clip at you tube!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x1zAR15__w
there are more of them if you click on the videos to the right.
and... have you seen the latest pics?

there's a heck of a lot more over here, and more are coming. just give us some time to load them.

That is an amazing photo, Deenan, thanks for posting it up here! A lot of the other photos I've seen make the whole film look a bit dark and brooding!
By the way, i'm sure this question has been answered but I've got a memory like a seive - is this release limited or general? Will it be a wide release in the UK?

i just loaded a lot of bigger and clean pics from the premiere.
http://always.ejwsites.net/08OM-prem.html
and there is a great review of the film. i'm taking just parts of this because is does include spoilers.
"Arthur Seldom, a professor of mathematics and logic and Martin, a student who has just arrived at the university and who dreams of studying with Seldom. Soon other murders take place, all announced by quite singular symbols. Martin and the professor join together to find the parts of the puzzle. Nothing will be as it appears. The identity of the murderer will be a real surprise and its reason even more so.
There are considerable challenges that the director puts his hand up for with an infectious enthusiasm, without ever letting himself exceed the complexity of his subject. Remarkably written and directed, The Oxford Murders is a pure happiness for the nervous system.
The Oxford Murders a thriller apart, almost interactive in its way of leading the spectator to examine every last detail within the whole, in the search of a revealing clue. In such a context, it is understandable that the actors give the best of themselves, starting with Elijah Wood who finds his best role for a long time. His stimulating exchanges with John Hurt, himself more class that ever, are a true treat. Just like the film."
there is another review that wasn't as kind, because the reviewer seemed insistent on comparing alex's work to hitchcock's, and no one can be in the same league as hitchcock.
if you can read spanish and don't mind spoilers, here is the link to the full review i posted.
