Elijah Hosts Saving Penguins Special

I don't know how many of you have access to the Discovery Kids Channel, but Elijah will be hosting a segment about saving penguins....
For the new fall season, Discovery Kids has a new animated series, GROWING UP CREEPIE, about a girl who was raised by bugs, plus new seasons of FLIGHT 29 DOWN, ENDURANCE, TUTENSTEIN and SERIOUS as well as two specials with a social conscience, SAVING A SPECIES: THE GREAT PENGUIN RESCUE (hosted by Elijah Wood) and A YEAR ON EARTH, that examine how kids can play a role in protecting the environment.

GROWING UP CREEPIE airs at 7:30 PM, starting September 9th. You would probably have to check a schedule at the channel's website to find the date Elijah's segment would be aired.

question is, can you get discovery kids? 
i'm confused. what's new?
anyway, is this...

...the same thing as what you posted here? can this be shown on two different networks?
how are these connected? i read that this discovery kids special is about saving penguins from an oil spill off the coast of south africa. and the animal planet show is about the same thing.
ah well, it could very well be two different shows, but i'll be watching both to be sure.

Does this mean that he has a new job? like rescuing animals of dying out?  --nah, what a redicolous thing to say,  he's to busy doing this kinda stuff  --

why is that ridiculous? i think it's commendable that elijah is doing what he can to save this species. too often animals are hurt because of human negligence. no one is ever too busy to care. 
besides, leave it up to elijah's reps to tie him into penguins now. two birds with one stone, though that's hurting animals too.

I can get Discovery Kids and can tape it for you , if necessary. I'll have to do it on tape and then convert it but that's no problem.
Isn't it a hoot how our hobbit lads are getting into the animal thing? First, Sean scores a hit with Meerkat Manor and now Elijah is doing the penguin special (most likely because of Happy Feet). A weird coincedence, though.

I know! it's not redicolous..--why I said something like that? -- I just meant that he's too busy for these kinda stuff. but if it was me I'd definetly do something like that. I LOVE animals

I'll bet the show on Animal Planet is the same show. I went to their website and signed up to receive an email alert the day before. But if you're going to tape it on Discovery Kids, then we'd know for sure if it's identical. Since Discovery Channel owns Animal Planet, I'd be willing to bet the farm it's the same show.

the animal planet show comes on sept. 19th and 26th at 7:00am?? i hope they repeat it at a more decent hour. no news yet on the discovery kids channel.

Ok, that isn't coming up on the Guide yet, but today is the big update day so I should have it by evening. I'll check after it updates.
Keep me apprized of the Discovery Kids thing, and I'll grab it on VHS and digitize it. I think that's digital cable and don't have the digital coming through my computer yet. Have to invest in an extender first.

Pardon the double post, but it's the next day....
I don't think the two things are the same. The South African Penguins thing is up in the Guide now and it is a rerun from 2004. Do you think it might still be the same? WOuld ELijah have done it back then? I'd be glad to tape it just in case.
