Elijah Wood & Conan O'Brien

While LotR movies were still playing in theatres, I was still mainly browsing elijahwoodinc.com, which is now long gone. However, I managed to save something from the site, like AOL Live interview, which says:
Jessica: Here is one from kuby27. Which talk show is your favorite to be a guest on and why?
Elijah: That's a good question. Probably the Conan O'Brien show.
Jessica: Isn't he great?
Elijah: He is awesome. I love watching the show. It keeps getting better and better. He is a really sweet guy and very funny, too. It's also a little bit looser, that show in terms of what the actors or the guests have in terms of responsibility. It seems like the format is a lot looser and it doesn't feel so intense.
I totally understand why Elijah could like this show. It IS loose, and they improvise a lot, so there's no way to know what will happen in each episode. Elijah has been in the show as guest many times, and he has even done a small sketch there once.
I had a lot Lij/Conan stuff taped, but the tape disappeared mysteriously, and I still miss it. I hope no one did recordings over them. That's why I'd be truly grateful if someone had video clips in the web.
I've copied the full AOL Live interview here. I'll move it to better place if I'll ever get my home page done.
I'm still waiting next time that Lij will be guest in Conan. They are excellent together.

I totally agree with Elijah. Conan is the best. Better yet, Conan and HE are the best. Even when I saw this thread I gasped, because I absolutely love it when Elijah appears on my favorite late night show and I almost thought it would happen again. Even though the last time he appeared was kind of a bummer.

I LOVE Conan O'Brien. His show is so relaxed, and the conversation seems to flow on his show. And I love it when Conan talks about how crappy the show is...it's so funny. Anyway...Put Conan and Elijah in a room together and film it, and I'll faint. My my, I made that sound dirty.

Sort of is such a harmless thing to say, it's just a filler, it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things sort of means everything - like after "I love you" or "You're going to live."

Quote from: Blue Star on April 27, 2006, 08:24:04 pm I don't know. I wish!
Btw, I found this quote from Elijah Illusions... Lij told this to Conan.
Quote:Stories about Elijah Is Your Mother Here? Told by Elijah on Conan O'brien NBC 2003.
"There was a funny story actually in a hotel at one point. I was staying at The Regency Hotel here in New York for press last year in Lord of the Rings.
And I walked into my room and there was a maid in there and I said, "No, no, I don't need service right now. I'm fine."
And she's like, "Is your mother around, uh, can I ask your Mom?"
And I was like, "No, actually this is my room, I'm sorry."
And she's like, No, no, is your mom around?"
"No seriously this is my room. I'm fine."
She's like, "Oh, okay..." So she thought that, you know it was my mom's room and a little kid was like, "Scus' me, can you- uh, I don't want service."

AHA!! We're in luck! The lovely Bunniewabbit kindly uploaded the Dec 2003 appearance to YSI!!
http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1HBBPUFAASBQ404NOYVBPDONSO If the link runs out, I'll re-upload.
Just finished watching it, Elijah really was great! Some of Conan's jokes are a little silly

oooh! THank you for the link Carina. I can't believe I missed this interview... But I know I missed it because I had finals the day after ROTK was released so I couldn't stay up late. But I'm glad I could see this...it was a very good interview. *sigh* I love it when these two guys get together.
