I heard about it too, and that it probably won't need to be reinstated. And though they wouldn't want me for various reasons  I don't like the idea at all!
I think it's great to hear a message about this, about free will, about an individual's right to choose whether to fight or not, and the moral implications of it. This could be DEEEEEEEP.

I agree. If well done by the director and the writer, this film could be deep. And it's particularly relevant right now, with the fighting in Iraq showing no sign of slowing down. I dare say that Elijah probably liked the script, since he accepted the part. And it will prove his versatility as an actor once again, coz isn't his next film role after that the one of Iggy Pop?

it may be. rumor has it that it will be a 4 week shoot that started sometime last week, so be on the lookout. though NYC is a big city. 
i sure hope this doesn't become another GSH.  this premise is so riveting. i think a lot of people would be interested in seeing what would happen if the draft was reinstated and how young men would react to being summoned to war.

I would say "Day Zero" because Chris Klein was rumoured to be in it though not listed yet on IMDB, I think. I haven't checked this morning...
