I know!!! It was so great that Happy Feet won! The other nominess were no match. They were just forgettable annual blockbusters if you ask me.

That was my first thought too.
From our paper today "In an upset, the Oscar for best animated film went to the singing penguins of Geroge Miller's Happy Feet." 
I say the only thing better than a win is an upset win!!!

I am SO THRILLED ............ HAPPY FEET WON!!!
Cars was good but the animation in Happy Feet (and the concept too!)
was far superior.... I wonder what you said .......... I wonder what Elijah's response was! I'm sure very happy!

you said it! though it's not so good when you're on the loosing end of that.

yes, i saw it, and it was elijah's voice! i guess lij and robin did some extra voice work for that bit. it was so cute.
i also loved the dancers who did the shawdow animations. they were fabulous. and they made little penguins too.

I'm just glad it all evened out. 'Cars' got the Golden Globe and that other animation award that escapes me right now, and Happy Feet got the Oscar. Everyone is somehow satisfied.
In my opinion, it was a hard choice. Both are so well done, and both have a great theme to them. In Cars, it is about knowing where you really belong in the world and not letting people get left in the dust. Happy Feet is similar in finding one's place in the world, as well as the environmental factor
BTW, what's all this with some people disliking it because they think it's pushing a political agenda? Could someone please make some sense of this?

ok I may be far Out There But is it me or>If Elijah does a cute Chracter>It Wins an oscar??think about it.Elijah done frodo,now Mumbles..they get an oscar.. Elijah if your Reading this!!!!Theres your ticket right there>Do Cute Film characters..They win Oscars.. Thats the ticket..What do you think??
